Expandable adapter for a free-standing bag
Disclosed herein are adapters for use with ordinary lawn and leaf bags. In one example, a foldable, expandable, and reusable adapter is provided. The adapter includes a rectangular base unit that is designed to receive four connector pieces. The four connector pieces are made of a rigid material and may include respective vertical and horizontal creases that allow them to be folded. As such, once assembled, the adapter may be folded for storage and later expanded for use. In use, the adapter is inserted into a lawn or leaf bag and provides a larger opening for the bag as well as prevents the mouth of the bag from closing.
SEMIRIGID POUCH FOR FOODSTUFF STORAGE AND DISPENSING
The present disclosure provides semirigid pouch designs and methods of manufacturing pouches. Such pouches can be made of plastic or non-plastic materials and may be easily sorted and recycled within existing rigid packaging recycling streams. The pouches are semirigid, while flexible, and will substantially retain their shape during and following product dispensing. This is accomplished by sealing a lower edge of a wall of semirigid plastic or non-plastic materials to a rigid or semirigid base, enabling the pouch to stand up on the base. Portions of an upper edge of the wall are affixed together to form a space to hold the foodstuffs. Further, the present pouch design does not require an additional label to be applied by the manufacturer, as the present design provides a large, uninterrupted, surface area for printing of advertisements and/or labels directly to the outer surface of the pouch.
THERMOFORMED FLEXIBLE DISPENSING CONTAINER WITH INTEGRALLY FORMED FLAT BOTTOM FOR A STAND-UP CONFIGURATION
A flexible thermoformed dispensing package for a flowable material that can be massed produced on a horizontal thermoform-fill-seal (HTFFS) machine includes a container portion that is dimensioned and configured with a flat self-supporting base, integral opposing side walls and a rear wall extending from the base, and a top wall or seam integrally formed from a single sheet or web, the side walls tapering from the base toward the integral rear wall and terminating at the top wall or seam; and a front wall that is heat-sealed as a separate sheet to the periphery of the periphery of the base, side walls and top wall to form a fluid-tight package that maintains a stand-up orientation when in use, and optionally includes an integral dispensing tube with an optional internal extension terminating proximate the supporting base for withdrawing liquid contents from the package.
Gusset Package
A gusseted package manufactured from recycle ready flexible packaging film including an obround aperture for sealing the front panel and rear panel together to accommodate the stretch characteristics of recycle ready flexible packaging film such that gusseted packages can be manufactured at the same speed and consistency as with non-recycle ready flexible packaging film.
NOVEL PREMIUM RETAIL DISPLAY CONTAINERS
The present invention is directed to premium retail display containers. In particular, the containers of the present invention comprise retail display containers that may be positioned in a standing orientation on a heel stand and rim creating a consumer favorable display angle of the containment area, and wherein the heel stand construct is not visible from consumer viewing angles providing a premium appearance.

GUSSETED POUCH
A gusseted pouch that maintains smooth pouring out properties of content is provided. A gusseted pouch including a first gusset film heat-sealed to a front film and a back film at a first side seal, in which the first gusset film includes a first front side part positioned on a front side in a front-back direction of a first non-seal region and a first back side part positioned on a back side in the front-back direction of the first non-seal region, and a handle portion is provided in each of the first front side part and the first back side part.
Laminated packaging material for liquid food products, a method for making the same, a method for printing on the same and a package made from the same
A laminated packaging material for liquid food products comprising, a core layer of paper or paperboard or other cellulose-based material, a laminate portion being arranged on a first side of the core layer, a dark colored flexographic ink composition printed onto the free surface of the laminate portion, the dark colored ink composition comprises color bases mixed at a ratio such that a total energy absorption by the dark colored flexographic ink composition, when provided on the laminated packaging material, is below 80%, such as below 70% in an emission spectra from a tungsten light source in the region 250-2500 nm at a temperature of 3000 K, the dark colored flexographic ink composition has a color space lightness value L*25, and a color space difference equal to or lower than 6, with respect to a specified black reference composition.
Articulating biocontainers
A biocontainer having a first film, the film having an interior and exterior side; articulating elements disposed on or within the first film, the articulating elements comprising at least one a folded hinge, a sealed joint, a thinned pathway, a bowed path, an embedded polymeric or metallic cylindrical fiber or rod; and a second film, optionally comprising articulating elements, joined to the first film, to form a biocontainer having a closed volume, wherein the articulating elements permit the biocontainer to expand and collapse along the articulating elements.
RECYCLABLE PACKAGING
A blank is disclosed herein. The blank comprises a paper layer defining a first surface, an opposing second surface, and a longitudinal direction. The blank defines a first fold line dividing the blank into a first half and a second half, a second fold line dividing the first half into a first portion and a second portion, and a third fold line dividing the second half into a third portion and fourth portion. When the first fold line second fold line, and third fold line are folded a triple point is formed between a first region where the first half of the second surface contacts the first fold line and a second region where the second half of the second surface contacts the first fold line. A first adhesive layer is pattern applied in a first pattern. A second adhesive is applied at least partially within the triple point.
