Air cargo container and curtain for the same
A curtain closure for the cargo opening of an air cargo container and the air cargo containers that have the same. The curtain closures include a fabric layer, and at least one of an insulating layer or a reinforcing layer attached to the inside of the fabric layer.
Package securing system
A package securing system is disclosed suitable for large and small packages and envelopes. Said package securing system comprises a container into which a user would place items to be secured, and a peg or post onto which the user would place the container. Sliding the container past a flange on the peg causes the container to be locked onto the peg. A user may then operate an unlocking mechanism to remove the barrier to removal. The disclosed package securing system is easy to use prompting adoption by delivery persons.
Apparatus for Monitoring the Content of a Container and Method Therefor
Methods and apparatus for monitoring the content of a chamber of a container via electrical capacitive tomography (ECT) or acoustic imaging are presented. The three-dimensional volume of the chamber and its content are imaged by developing a map of permittivity or acoustic impedance by (1) applying a stimulus signal between each of a plurality of electrode pairs of a plurality of electrodes that is arranged about the chamber and (2), for each stimulus signal applied, measuring a response signal at each of the remaining electrodes of the plurality. Once the map of permittivity or acoustic impedance is established, the number and type of tablets (or liquid) within the chamber is determined.
SYSTEM FOR DETERRENCE OF UNHEALTHY BEHAVIOR
A system for deterring undesirable behavior may include a container with a sensor. The container may hold food that is prohibited for a user of the system, but not for non-users of the system. The sensor may be configured to sense information that is unique to the user. A microprocessor may receive a signal from the sensor and determine whether a user or a non-user of the system has engaged with the sensor. If the user activates the sensor, the microprocessor may provide a personalized cue to the user through an output device to deter the user from eating the prohibited food in the container.
Door closure
Disclosed is a closure for a door of a shipping container. The closure includes a housing, an outside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, an inside handle pivotally mounted relative to the housing, and a catch connected to the inside handle. The closure is configured so that movement of the inside handle between a first position and a second position causes corresponding movement of the catch. A locking mechanism can releasably fix the inside handle relative to the outside handle, such that when in a locked position rotation of the outside handle causes corresponding rotation of the inside handle and when in an unlocked position the inside handle can be rotated independently of the outside handle.
Closure for container with informational and/or anti-counterfeiting capabilities
A “smart” closure system, apparatus, and method are contemplated. The closure includes mechanical capture and release mechanisms, electromechanical and/or optical indicators, wireless technologies, and/or web-based or remote authentication, verification, and serialization via remotely located data servers. A mobile computing device may further augment certain functions. The resulting system allows for anti-counterfeiting, authentication, serialization, and other capabilities.
PILF RESISTANT PACKAGING SYSTEM
A theft-proof packaging system includes a product package including a compartment configured to encapsulate a product. The compartment is in a non-surrounding environmental state, the non-surrounding environmental state being either pneumatically pressurized above a surrounding environment or pneumatically vacuumized below the surrounding environment. A pressure sensor inside the compartment includes a switch, the switch configured to disconnect and connect a power source to a transmitter, wherein the switch is configured to disconnect the power source from the transmitter in the presence of the non-surrounding environmental state inside the compartment and the switch is configured to connect the power source to the transmitter when the compartment equalizes to the surrounding environment. A receiving unit is disposed remote from the product package and receives the signal from the transmitter and sounds an alarm. A passive RFID tag may be located within the compartment and detected when passing through a walk-through scanner.
Bolt seal
A bolt seal including a pin and a barrel where the barrel has a storage position on the pin and a lock position on the pin, the bolt seal optionally including a restrainer and optionally being packaged in a container in a common orientation with other bolt seals.
ELECTRONIC NET FOR SECURITY DURING TRANSPORTATION AND WEAVING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention provides an electronic net for security during transportation, whereas the net body of electronic net is knitted with a braided wire which has a conductive wire inside, or even it is formed by multiple subnets and the conductive wires between subnets are connected in series. Both metal ends of conductive wire of the net body are connected to electronic lock. If the conductive wire in the braided wire is disconnected due to the damage of net body, the electronic lock rapidly detect the error. Even though the disconnected conductive wire is reconnected again, the error record in the electronic lock cannot be eliminated. Therefore, once the goods finish the X-ray security check, it is covered with the electronic net and locked to the bottom plate with fixing belt, and then identify it with the strap before transportation. And the staff needs to check the electronic lock if there is any error signal and observe the identifiers of the straps if they are consistent with the record and damaged or not As above to complete the inspection of the security problems in transportation. The process is simple and reduces the security loopholes caused by negligence.
STORAGE CONTAINER WITH INVENTORY CONTROL
Systems and methods of the invention relate to managing an inventory of items within a storage container. A storage container can house one or more items for distribution among one or more users such as, for instance, employees. The storage container discussed herein provides authentication of a user, tracking of the inventory each user removes or returns, video/image capture of user during access of the storage container, multi-factor tracking of items housed within the storage container, machine vision identification of items, among others.
