A sealing apparatus for tamper-evidently closing an opening in a sealable product comprising a locking housing mountable adjacent the opening and including an entrance passage leading to a stall; a fastener for closing the opening, the fastener having a fastener head adapted to pass through the entrance passage into the stall and an actuator tab attached to and movable about the fastener head to, with the fastener head received into the stall, engage with and close the entrance passage behind the fastener head, and a seal for tamper-evidently securing the actuator tab in position in the entrance passage.

Tracking device enclosure

An apparatus for a tracking device enclosure is disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus includes an enclosure that holds a motion tracking device to a shipping container. Further, the enclosure includes one or more first flaps that secure a first motion tracking device within the enclosure such that the first motion tracking device does not move in relation to the enclosure. The one or more first flaps secure the first motion tracking device based on a shape of the first motion tracking device. Also, the enclosure includes one or more second flaps that secure a second motion tracking device within the enclosure such that the second motion tracking device does not move in relation to the enclosure. The one or more second flaps secure the second motion tracking device based on a shape of the second motion tracking device.

Box fastener with improved characteristics

The present invention relates to a box fastener. The box fastener can have sides with both a top piece and a bottom piece that are separated by a gap. The bottom piece is deformable along its length. The bottom piece has a hole that is either offset or enlarged compared to a corresponding hole in the top piece to accommodate the arcuate path of a curved piercing element of arm. A seal can be provided between the top and bottom piece. The piercing element optionally can puncture the seal and the seal can be fastened around the arm that is in the locked position. Unlocking of the arm will break the seal thereby revealing evidence of an unlocking event. The fastener has a bottom with grips having angled distal surfaces. The grips provide increasing levels of grip as the thickness of the box increases, and vice versa.

Package and process for making the same

A package includes a housing, a container, and a coupling system. The housing defines a first internal volume and includes first lateral walls that define a first through opening further defined by a first edge. The container defines a second internal volume and is configured for housing one or more products. The container includes second lateral walls that define a second through opening further defined by a second edge, the second through opening being configured to permit insertion and withdrawal of the one or more products from the container. The container is adjustable to a first configuration in which the container is at least partially disposed within the housing and a second configuration in which the container is at least partially disposed outside of the first internal volume. The coupling system is configured to secure the container to the housing.

A CLOSURE

A flip-top dispensing closure is provided. The closure comprises a base and a lid. The base is attachable to a container neck and includes an integral spout. The lid comprises a fixing ring and a cap. The fixing ring is attachable to the base and the cap is hingedly attached to the ring. The closure is provided with tamper-evident means comprising first and second parts which are initially frangibly connected to each other within the lid, and upon first opening of the cap the first and second parts are separated, one of the parts being retained by the cap and the other of the parts dropping onto the base.

Closure

The present disclosure relates to a closure, especially a closure for packages for liquids such as beverages. In particular the invention relates to a closure for containers for carbonated liquids such as soft drinks. The closure comprises an outer shell with a reduced weight and a sealing means which actively compensates the deformation of the outer shell to avoid loss of performance.

Tamper evident container having bonded tab

This invention is a tamper evident container having a base and removable lid comprising a pull tab and a lid surface, wherein the base and lid fit together with an interference fit. The pull tab extends toward the center of the lid surface and away from a base portion of the pull tab, the base portion being located at an edge of the lid. The pull tab further comprises a pull tab portion having a first side that is attached to a first tab marker by a first frangible line, and a second side that is attached to a second tab marker by a second frangible line. The pull tab portion overlays at least one detent that marginally biases the pull tab portion away from the lid surface.

BEVERAGE INGREDIENT CARTRIDGE

A beverage ingredient cartridge for releasing beverage ingredients into a bottle to create a mixed beverage includes a body defining a liquid-ingredient chamber, a cap defining a solid-ingredient chamber, and an opening mechanism disposed on the cap. Upon a force applied to the beverage ingredient cartridge, a piercer of the bottle drives through the dispensing end of the cartridge, causing teeth of the opening mechanism to tear through films sealing the liquid-ingredient chamber and solid-ingredient chamber. This mixes contents of the liquid-ingredient chamber with contents of the solid-ingredient chamber and releases the mixed contents from the beverage ingredient cartridge into a bottle below that is filled with a liquid, creating a mixed beverage.

Light emitting shell in multi-compartment microcapsules

A multi-compartment microcapsule emits photons when subjected to a stimulus. In some embodiments, the multi-compartment microcapsules have first and second compartments separated by an isolating structure adapted to rupture in response to the stimulus, wherein the first and second compartments contain reactants that come in contact and react to produce photons when the isolating structure ruptures.

Tamper evident cargo container seal bolt lock
10689882 · 2020-06-23 · ·

Systems and methods for a tamper-evident cargo container seal bolt lock are disclosed herein. The device can include a receiving member, a conductive bolt member adapted to be snap-locked into the receiving member, and a plastic encapsulant which tethers the bolt member to the receiving member. The encapsulant can contain an electrically conductive medium, such as a wire, which runs from the receiving member to the second end of the bolt. A sensory circuit disposed within the receiving member can be configured to sense whether the circuit has been interrupted (e.g., if the bolt has been cut). In the event of an interruption, the circuit can record the present time and/or date in memory. An RFID transponder disposed within the encapsulant or the receiving member can then transmit the recorded date/time to an RFID interrogator if a dispute subsequently arises as to when the lock had been broken.
