REFUSE COLLECTION VEHICLE

A refuse collection vehicle includes a wheeled chassis, a battery pack, a refuse collection body, and a DC-DC converter. The wheeled chassis has an electric propulsion motor connected to a road wheel of the chassis. The battery pack has multiple battery cells and provides electrical power to the propulsion motor. The refuse collection body is carried by the chassis and defines a refuse storage compartment. The refuse collection body includes a refuse packer driven by an electric packer motor. The refuse collection body also includes a powered tailgate driven by an electric tailgate motor. The DC-DC converter is connected to the battery pack and provides electrical power to the electric packer motor and to the electric tailgate motor at one or more DC voltages different than a voltage provided by the battery pack to the DC-DC converter.

CONTROL DEVICE, SYSTEM, PROGRAM, CONTROL INSTRUMENT, FLYING OBJECT, SENSOR, AND METHOD OF OPERATING SYSTEM

A control device includes: a communication unit; and a control unit that transmits and receives information via the communication unit. When a flying object flies around a complex housing, the control unit transmits, to the flying object, information on a flight route in which a transported object of the flying object enters a blind spot from inside of the complex housing based on information on the complex housing.

Various examples of arrangements and methods are provided for loading and unloading first and second load units carried by a vehicle. A landing device is arranged between a first end of the first load unit and a second end of the second load unit so that a first portion of the landing device is supported to the first end of the first load unit and a second portion of the landing device is supported to the second end of the second load unit. The landing device can move the first end of the first load unit into a lower level than the second end of the second load unit after the first end of the first load unit is moved so that it passes the second end of the second load unit.

SCRAMBLING DATA FOR USE WITH VEHICLE COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
20230246833 · 2023-08-03 ·

A scrambling method of data on a J1939 communication system of a vehicle involves at least moving data from one of a PGN and a PGN/SPN location to another PGN or PGN/SPN location at a first controller on the vehicle before transmitting data and then re-ordering the data at a second controller. Some embodiments further comprise encrypting data either before or after shifting, but before transmitting so as to further complicate efforts to interpret meaningful data from the transmission. The second controller may be on the vehicle or may be remotely located.

Refuse carts and refuse cart retention systems for use in retaining refuse carts inside a corral and transporting or emptying the carts when needed. The refuse cart retention system generally includes a retention corral and at least one large refuse cart and/or at least one small refuse cart. Various mechanisms for retaining refuse carts in the retention corral include retention structures to receive a segment of a refuse cart frame, and frame protrusions connected to the retention corral that can be placed in tight contact with a cutout in the sides of the refuse carts having a geometry substantially identical to that of the frame protrusions.

REFUSE VEHICLE WITH ELECTRIC CHASSIS

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage device supported by the chassis, a body assembly, and a power distribution unit. The energy storage device is configured to provide electrical power to a prime mover. Activation of the prime mover selectively drives the refuse vehicle. The body assembly is configured for storing refuse and is supported by the chassis. The power distribution unit is coupled to the energy storage device and is configured to control power transmission outward from the energy storage device, between the chassis and the body assembly. The body assembly includes a controller that communicates with the power distribution unit to adjust a flow of electrical power from the energy storage device to the body assembly.
