NOISE-QUIETING COVER FOR WHEELS OF HAND-PORTABLE CONTAINERS
20170349361 · 2017-12-07 ·

A noise-quieting cover reduces the noise caused by rolling a container with wheels made of plastic or other hard material across a surface. The noise-quieting cover further dampens the vibrations caused by rolling the container across a surface, making transportation of the container more comfortable. The noise-quieting cover has a tread with a thickness to effectively dampen noise and vibration. The cover also has sidewalls with areas large enough to keep the cover in place over the wheel. Grip tabs may also be included which may assist the user in stretching the cover over a wheel, assist in making small adjustments to perfectly place the cover over a wheel, and assist in removing the cover from the wheel.

Operational modes for a refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle has a chassis supporting a plurality of wheels, as well as a motor. A vehicle body is also supported by the chassis and defines a receptacle for storing refuse. A lifting system is coupled to the vehicle body and is movable between a first position and a second position vertically offset from the first position. The refuse vehicle also has a processing unit in communication with the lifting system and the motor. The processing unit is configured to access and toggle through a plurality of preset operational modes stored within a memory to adjust performance parameters of the refuse vehicle.

Battery storage system for electric refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly, and battery cells. The body assembly is coupled to the chassis and defines a refuse compartment. The battery cells are positioned between the body assembly and the chassis.

A lift assembly for a utility vehicle storage area includes a floor supported by a scissor mechanism, an actuator for raising the scissor mechanism and the floor from a neutral position to an elevated position, a plurality of rollers attached to the floor, guide members attached to the scissor mechanism and within which the plurality of rollers move, and a detent protruding into one of the guide members to resist rotation of at least one of the plurality of rollers and create a pivot point about which the floor rotates to a pivoted position. The floor may be rotated to the pivoted position from the neutral position, the elevated position, or any position between the neutral and elevated positions. In addition, the floor may be removed from the assembly by passing the first and second pairs of rollers through the cutouts in the guide members.

ELECTRIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC REFUSE VEHICLE

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body assembly coupled to the chassis, the body assembly defining a refuse compartment, an electric energy system configured to store power and supply power to at least one of the chassis or the body assembly, and a power control system. The power control system is configured to measure one or more electrical attributes of at least one of the chassis and the body assembly and determine a power profile for at least one of the chassis and the body assembly, the power profile describing, based on a remaining power of the electric energy system, at least one of a length of time the refuse vehicle can continue to operate or a distance that the refuse vehicle can traverse. the power control system is further configured to control a function of a non-essential component of the refuse vehicle based on the power profile.
