Method and article for standing on roller conveyor
This disclosure concerns an article and a method for using it. The article enables the user to conveniently stand, temporarily, on the rollers of a roller conveyor. The user sets the article on the roller conveyor, stands on the article, and when finished with his task, steps off the article and removes it from the roller conveyor. The article is made of a material which is light and strong, such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. It features semi-circular recesses in a bottom surface which selectively and operatively receive the rollers of the roller conveyor. Packages can pass on the roller conveyor and the rollers can still turn in many cases, while the package passes next to the article.
SUBSTRATE CONVEYANCE DEVICE
Disclosed is a substrate conveyance device, comprising: a carrying platform, configured to support a substrate; a conveying mechanism, disposed below the carrying platform and configured to convey the carrying platform; and oppositely disposed guiding mechanisms, disposed on both sides of the carrying platform in a conveying direction, respectively. First magnetic field generators are disposed on both sides of the carrying platform in the conveying direction, and the guiding mechanism includes second magnetic field generators adjacent to the first magnetic field generators and disposed oppositely to the first magnetic field generators, respectively, such that the first magnetic field generator and the second magnetic field generator which are adjacent to each other have the same polarity. The substrate conveyance device is suitable for conveying various display substrates, especially the substrate having a large size.
OBJECT STOP FOR AUTOMATED OBJECT CONVEYING SYSTEMS
An object redirection mechanism for a conveying system is provided. The object redirection mechanism is configured to redirect an object moved by the conveying system from a first direction to a second direction. The object redirection mechanism includes an arm tunnel positioned proximate an end of a conveyor configured for moving an object in the first direction. The arm tunnel includes an object stop having an object stopping portion defining at least a first side of the arm tunnel at least substantially parallel with the second direction and configured to engage an object moving in the first direction. The object stopping portion defines at least one finger aperture to enable at least one of the rotationally-retractable fingers to, when aligned with the at least one finger aperture, rotate between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. A corresponding object conveying system and method of assembling an object stop are provided.

ENERGY HARVESTING BRAKE SYSTEM
An energy harvesting brake system may comprise a shaft, a roller cylinder, and a piezoelectric material. The roller cylinder may be configured to rotate relative to the shaft in response to a target moving relative to a platform. The piezoelectric material may be in operable communication with the shaft and the roller cylinder such that relative rotational motion between the shaft and the roller cylinder causes cyclic stress in the piezoelectric material thereby generating electrical energy.

System and method for managing migration of road barriers
A road barrier transfer machine includes an improved capstan control system that reduces unwanted migration of road barrier spans without requiring inaccurate visual observations and reliance on outdated scripts. The barrier transfer machine includes a moveable chassis, an entry snout, an exit snout, a conveyor system, a capstan system, and the capstan control system. The capstan control system automatically operates the capstan system or provides instructions to an operator of the machine to maintain the tension and compression of a road barrier span within desired ranges to reduce unwanted migration of the span.

GROUPING STATION FOR GROUPING PALLETS
A grouping station for grouping pallets includes an inbound conveyor, which is a gravity conveyor. The grouping station includes a fixed-height pairing conveyor and a grouping conveyor with three height positions for different grouping functions.
FRUIT TRAY NESTING DEVICE AND METHODS OF USE
The present invention provides devices, systems and methods for reliably inserting packing trays into packing crates. Thus, the present invention solves the problems of conventional packaging lines by providing a positioning device for depositing packing trays into packing crates. Particularly, the present invention can be incorporated into existing fruit and vegetable packing lines.
