CARGO VELOCITY CONTROL FOR CARGO HANDLING SYSTEMS
A control system for a cargo handling system is disclosed. The control system may be configured to advance larger containers at a slower speed than smaller containers. For instance, all containers may be initially advanced by the same first velocity control signal. At the expiration of a certain time period, all containers may thereafter be advanced by a different velocity control signal (from the first velocity control signal) that should least substantially maintain the velocity of the container as it existed at the time of the expiration of the noted time period. The length of the time period (for advancing the container at the first velocity control signal) may be varied based upon the size of the containers such that larger containers are accelerated for a shorter time than smaller containers and which in turn should then advance larger containers at a lower velocity compared to smaller containers.
SAND CONVEYING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, CONTROL DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A sand conveying apparatus and a control method thereof, a controlling device, and a storage medium are provided. The sand conveying apparatus includes a storage device, a conveying device, and a hoisting device. The storage device is located above an area where sand needs to be input. The conveying device is connected with the storage device. The conveying device is configured to convey the sand to the storage device. The hoisting device is located above the conveying device. The hoisting device is configured to transport the sand in the sand container to the conveying device through an action of the hoist, and the hoist of the hoisting device is configured to move simultaneously along a plurality of route segments in different directions, so as to realize a linear movement between a first position where the hoist is located and a position where the hopper is located.

Conveyance device
A conveyance device (100) comprises: a base member (81); a holding member (83) that moves along the base member (81); a motor (M) for advancing and retracting the holding member (83); a target (T) provided on the holding member (83); an optical distance sensor (86) positioned so as to face the target (T) when the holding member (83) is in the advanced position; and a control device (70). A processor (71) is configured such that: a basic rotation speed is applied to the motor (M) to advance the holding member (83); the actual distance from the optical distance sensor (86) to the advanced target (T) is measured by the optical distance sensor (86); a corrected distance for moving the holding member (83) to the advanced position is calculated on the basis of the measured actual distance; and the motor (M) moves the holding member (83) on the basis of the calculated corrected distance.
Apparatus and method for inspecting suspendedly conveyable transport bags
A device for inspecting transport bags (14) that can be conveyed in a suspended manner with a bag interior (16) for receiving piece-goods units (5), the transport bag having a bag opening (17) of the bag interior, includes a device for opening and/or keeping open the bag opening of a transport bag that is to be inspected; and a detection device (70) that is configured to receive at least one two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional image of at least part of the bag interior of the transport bag to be inspected.
Position detection system and travel system
A position detection system includes: two magnet rows including a plurality of magnets arrayed cyclically and repeatedly with an array pattern as one cycle in a detection direction, a magnet in the magnet row and a magnet in the magnet row facing each other at surfaces having different polarities at a specific position in the detection direction; a magnetic sensor disposed between the two magnet rows, a relative position of the magnetic sensor relative to the two magnet rows in the X-axis direction being variable; and a determiner that determines a position of the magnetic sensor in an predetermined direction relative to the two magnet rows based on a detection value of the magnetic sensor.

PARCEL HANDLING AND TRACKING SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF SCANNING IDENTIFYING FEATURES ON PARCELS
A parcel handling and tracking system allows an all-around scanning of identifying features thanks to a scanning window, where the parcels are configured to sit at the scanning window on a resting surface of the parcel itself. The scanning window is light permeable to allow reading of the identifying features at the resting surface, possibly together with other identifying features at surfaces of the parcel other than the resting surface.
