Plate straightener
A tie plate straightener includes a plurality of rollers having varying cross-section and differing elevations. The tie plate straightener includes directional wheels between the rollers and disposed in alignment with the lower elevations of the rollers. The straightener receives tie plates at an input and rotates the tie plates when the tie plate engages the directional wheels. The tie plate is thereby oriented and/or positioned so that the tie plate is supported above the directional wheels.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FORMING INTER-SHEET REGISTERING CONTOURS IN METAL BLANKS FOR SEPARATION
An apparatus for making one or more registering contour features in a workpiece. At least some of the registering contour features have an outer annular rim and basin-shaped portion there within. One embodiment has: (i) one or more first tools, each tool being adapted to form the outer annular rim in one or more registering contour features; and (ii) one or more second tools for forming in cooperation with the first set of insert tools one or more of the basin-shaped portions that lie within the outer annular rims, thereby forming a set of one or more registering contour features in the workpiece so that workpieces in a stack are separated to facilitate subsequent handling by removing an uppermost workpiece from the stack.
Storage module having inventory carriers that are elongate along a lateral direction to carry a plurality of storage containers
In one embodiment, an inventory storage module has first and second guiderails that are spaced from one another along a lateral direction. Each guiderail has an upper track and a lower track, and first and second connecting tracks that connect the upper track to the lower track at first and second ends of the storage module, respectively. The module has a plurality of inventory carriers that are supported between the first and second guiderails, are arranged end-to-end along the upper and lower tracks along a longitudinal direction, and are elongate along the lateral direction. The module can also have a plurality of storage containers carried by each inventory carrier in a side-by-side relation along the lateral direction, where the plurality of storage containers carry a plurality of inventory items.
Movement device for moving roller boxes
A movement device for moving roller boxes, comprising: a support frame (10), movable along a vertical direction; a conveyor plane (11), solidly constrained to the support frame (10) with respect to the movement in a vertical direction and movable with respect to the support frame (10) along a horizontal transversal direction (X), in which the conveyor plane (11) is predisposed to translate objects (O) along a horizontal conveying direction (Y); three operating arms (21,22,23), solidly constrained to the support frame (10), each of which is provided with spindles (S) rotating about rotation axes which are coplanar, horizontal and perpendicular to the conveying direction (Y). A main arm (21) is provided with motorised spindles (S) and is movable along the transversal direction (X) between a first operating position and a second operating position, to selectively interact with one of two roller boxes (B1,B2).

Methods and apparatuses for moving and/or transferring multiple discrete articles
Methods and apparatuses for moving and/or transferring discrete articles are described. In particular, the methods and apparatuses relate to flexible arrangements to move and/or transfer discrete articles that vary in size and/or shape with minimal to no change in equipment.
STORAGE SYSTEM FOR STORING OBJECTS OF PLASTIC MATERIAL PROCESSED IN A BOTTLING LINE
A storage system for storing objects of plastic material processed in a bottling line (45) comprises: a plurality of drawers (4) configured to contain groups of objects (5); a frame (2) which defines a plurality of compartments (3) configured to house the drawers (4); a conveyor (8) movable in the storage system (1) itself and configured to access the compartments (3) in such a way as to withdraw and place drawers (4) from and into the compartments (4); a loading bay (11) having one or more loading compartments for receiving corresponding drawers (4) and having a loading manipulator (28) configured to place in the drawers (4) the loose objects (5) received from an infeed conveyor (29); an unloading bay (12) having at least one unloading compartment for receiving a corresponding drawer (4) and having an unloading manipulator (41) configured to place onto an outfeed conveyor (43, 44) the loose objects (5) stored in the drawer (4).
Container gripper and transporting device for transporting containers
A container gripper has pivotable gripper arms and a blocking element that comprises a spring element with first and second regions that preloads the gripper arms into a closing position. The blocking element moves between a releasing position and a blocking position such that a closing force exerted in the blocking position exceeds that exerted in the releasing position. The spring elements interact with control surfaces of the gripper arms such that, when the blocking element is in the releasing position, the control surface takes effect against the first region, thereby causing the spring element to exert the first closing force and wherein, when the blocking element is in the blocking position, the control surface takes effect against the second region, thereby causing the spring element to exert the second closing force.
Vibratory bowl feeder
An improved vibratory bowl feeder is provided. The improved vibratory bowl feeder includes a removable impact cone formed from an impact resistant material to deflect falling industrial workpieces toward the sidewall of a bowl. The impact cone includes a through-hole for a center bolt, the center bolt securing the impact cone to the bowl. An adhesive layer bonds the impact cone to the bowl, which is optionally formed from stainless steel. The impact cone includes a frusto-conical or hemispherical impact surface that deadens the impact from industrial workpieces falling from an overhead hopper. Replacement of the impact cone can be achieved within minimal downtime, and varying impact cones can be selected based on the size and the shape of the industrial workpieces for a given inspection run.
Conveying device for can blanks
A conveyor for can blanks, having a machine frame, on which at least one conveyor drum is supported so that it can rotate about an axis of rotation, wherein the conveyor drum on an external circumferential surface is provided with a plurality of can holders in each case supported parallel to the axis of rotation so that they can move linearly, and having at least one actuator system associated with the conveyor drum, configured to impart a linear movement to at least one can holder. It is provided that the at least one actuator system is configured to provide the linear movement of the at least one can holder as a predefinable function of a rotational position of the conveyor drum in relation to the machine frame.
