POWERED TRAILER SYSTEMS
The present disclosure is directed generally to powered trailer systems and, more particularly, to powered trailer systems for opening and closing trailer doors at, e.g., a vehicle loading dock, and to vehicle and/or trailer power delivery and charging systems. A powered trailer door operating system can include a guide track having a lower guide track portion and an upper guide track portion; a drive support coupled to the upper guide track portion having a drive shaft positioned within a central cavity; and a carriage slidingly coupled to the drive support and operably coupled to the trailer door. The carriage can be operably engaged with the drive shaft through the slot such that rotation of the drive shaft causes the carriage to translate along the drive support, thereby moving the trailer door between the open and closed positions.
Wheel chock with locking mechanism
The wheel chock includes a locking mechanism that can be held in a locked state when properly positioned on a base plate. The locking mechanism includes a positioning unit having at least one tooth provided to engage a side of a corresponding one of the blocking elements in a latched engagement when the positioning unit is in the fully locked position. The locking mechanism also includes first means for moving the positioning unit from the unlocked position towards the fully locked position, and second means for selectively holding the positioning unit in the fully locked position.
Vehicle proximity sensor for positioning a vehicle at a loading dock
A loading dock having a sensing device to determine proximity of a vehicle to the loading dock is disclosed. The loading dock includes a loading bay. The loading dock also includes a driving platform that receives a vehicle approaching the loading dock. The driving platform is positioned beneath the loading bay. The loading dock include a loading platform extending from the loading bay. The loading dock is equipped with a sensing device attached to the loading platform. The sensing device determines and monitors a distance between the vehicle and the loading platform. The loading dock also includes an indicating device that generates a signal when the distance between the vehicle and the loading platform is less than a threshold distance.
Delivery system
The invention relates to a delivery system having a delivery goods vehicle for delivering inward goods, and having at least one automated transfer assembly which for transferring the goods in an automated manner from the delivery goods vehicle to a goods store comprises an object detection device. The delivery system moreover has a safety installation for securing a movement range of the transfer assembly when unloading the goods.
MOBILE PLATFORM INTELLIGENT DECKING
Disclosed herein is a dimensioner table (DT) that is highly transportable and can be removably or permanently affixed to a mobile platform (MP). This allows freight to be scanned at the time of pickup or each time it is unloaded/loaded onto a new MP. The dimensioning information collected from the DT can be used to create a 3D model of the freight which can be used to help provide loading instructions. The successive scans of the freight by each DT can also be used to identify any discrepancies in the 3D models or captured images which may indicate damage or partial loss of freight.
Dock door automation system and method
A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.
Vehicle leveler with swing gate
A vehicle leveler which includes a first portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the trailing edge is disposed further from the driveway than the leading edge. The leveler also includes a second portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge of the second portion is removably attached to the trailing edge of the first portion and the leading edge of the second portion is disposed further from the driveway than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion also includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler has opposing side portions which have a top surface that forms a walkway. A safety barrier with two opposed gates is mounted adjacent to the vehicle leveler. The safety barrier when in an open position acts as a fall protection barrier for a user.
SEALS FOR DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS, METHODS OF SEALING GAPS IN DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF ARRANGING SEALS FOR DOCK LEVELLING SYSTEMS FOR STORAGE OR TRANSPORTATION
A seal for a dock levelling system including a movable ramp arranged within a recess. The seal is for sealing a gap between a side of the movable ramp and a wall of the recess, and including a flexible strip formed of a flexible material, and on each longitudinal edge of the flexible strip, an attachment strip for attaching the flexible strip to the side of the movable ramp. The seal is arranged so that when the attachment strips are attached adjacently to each other to the side of the movable ramp, the material of the flexible strip between the attachment strips forms a closed loop extending out from the side of the movable ramp to the wall of the recess, to seal the gap between the side of the movable ramp and the wall of the recess.
LOADING OR UNLOADING DEVICE AND LOADING OR UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR USE WITH ONE OR MORE MACHINE TOOLS
The invention relates to a loading or unloading device (500) for use with a machine tool (100), comprising: a transport vehicle (510) that can move freely in an area; a handover unit (540) arranged on the transport vehicle (510) and having a receiving section (530) which in turn has a plurality of retaining sections arranged in a row for receiving tools (WZ) or tool interfaces (WZS) holding tools and/or workpieces; and one or more docking sections arranged on the transport vehicle (510) for docking and/or workpieces on the machine tool, in particular of a supply unit (400) of a tool and/or workpiece magazine (200) of the machine tool.
DOCK BUMPER WITH INTEGRAL LAMP CLEARANCE
A cargo vehicle includes a cargo area configured to receive a load of cargo for transport, and a plurality of wheels configured to support the cargo area above a road surface while the plurality of wheels roll along the road surface. A rear structure of the cargo vehicle includes a rear cross member located at a rear edge of the cargo area, and a first light array is located in the rear cross member. A first dock bumper is placed directly over a first lamp of the first light array on a first lateral side of the rear cross member, the first dock bumper including a through hole accommodating the first lamp to visually mark a first outboard edge of the cargo vehicle.
