SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING SEMITRAILER COLLISIONS WITH A LOADING RAMP
The present invention relates to a system for preventing semitrailer collisions with a loading ramp. The system comprises a sensor unit network, and a guide block.
Pedestrian-Vehicle Warning Systems for Loading Docks
Example safety systems for use at a loading dock are disclosed. An example safety system includes a sensor installed at the loading dock. The sensor provides a feedback signal in response to sensing the vehicle. An alarm device is mounted below a lowest elevation of the doorway. The alarm device is positioned between the first lateral plane and the second lateral plane of the doorway. An alarm signal is emitted by the alarm device in response to the feedback signal.
Generating an image-based identifier for a stretch wrapped loaded pallet based on images captured in association with application of stretch wrap to the loaded pallet
Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided that relate to using one or more vision sensors to capture images of a loaded pallet in association with application of stretch wrap to the loaded pallet by an automated pallet wrapping machine. The images are used to generate an image-based identifier for the loaded pallet that is then used for pallet identification by mobile robots and/or other automated agents in a warehouse or other environment. In some implementations, the images are captured by the vision sensor when the pallet is in the wrapping area of the automated pallet wrapping machine and while the vision sensor and/or the pallet are rotating. In some implementations, the image-based identifier may be assigned to pallet attributes and/or a de-palletizing scheme of the loaded pallet.

DOCK DOOR AUTOMATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.
TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED RECEIVING TUNNEL
Examples provide a system for a temperature-controlled receiving tunnel. A main body includes an interior compartment and a set of adjustable bulkheads configured to create a set of temperature-controlled zones within the interior compartment. A set of cooling devices are configured to adjust an internal temperature of the set of temperature-controlled zones within the interior compartment. A control device analyzes dynamic truck delivery data and ambient temperature data to generate a predicted cooling time and a cooling initiation time. The predicted cooling time comprises an estimated quantity of time after the cooling initiation time to reach a target temperature within a selected zone in the set of temperature-controlled zones.
TRAILER STABILIZER AND RESTRAINT
A trailer restraining device comprising a portable frame having mounted thereto a tail hook and a king pin receiver that includes at least one of a receiver hydraulic cylinder, a receiver pneumatic cylinder, a receiver electric actuator, and a receive winch.
Dock seal system
The present invention is a dock seal system for mounting on a structure wall. The system includes at least one side seal made up of a backer board having a hollow configuration and a foam seal attached to the backer board. A first side of at least one wear pleat is removably connected to the foam seal by at least one pleat fastener. This allows rapid, easy replacement of worn-out wear pleats.
VEHICLE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Provided herein are vehicle restraint systems for releasably securing a vehicle having a RIG bar to a loading dock. The vehicle restraint systems can include a vehicle engagement member, such as a restraint hook, that is configured to engage RIG bars having a variety of geometries, including conventional RIG bars having a square cross-sectional area and modified RIG bars having more complex geometries. The engagement member can include an engagement region having a scallop feature configured to provide clearance for the RIG bars during engagement.
System and method for operating a docking station
A system and method for remotely controlling loading dock components is disclosed that includes a distribution center having at least one dock station for exchanging materials and a dock component configured to in at least two operational states. An actuator is included that is configured to change the operational state of the dock component in response to an activation signal. A mobile remote control is configured to generate the activation signal to cause the actuator to change the operational state of the dock component and at least one predefined non-activation zone is included such that changing of operational state of the dock component is inhibited when the mobile remote control is located within the at least one predefined non-activation zone.
