Document feeder assisting device and image forming apparatus incorporating automatic document feeder including the document feeder assisting device
A document feeder assisting device includes a document stacker to stack a document to be conveyed toward a feed port of an automatic document feeder, a pressing device to press the document toward a document placement surface of the document stacker, and a conveyance device to convey the document. The document is stacked on the document placement surface exposed above with the pressing device moved.
FOLDING BOX STACK TRANSFERRING DEVICE IN A PACKAGING MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING A FOLDING BOX STACK IN A PACKAGING MACHINE
A folding box stack transferring apparatus in a packaging machine has a gripping apparatus which is arranged on an adjustable manipulator. The gripping apparatus has at least two gripping jaws which can be moved toward one another in a clamping direction and between which the folding box stack can be clamped. In addition, a suction apparatus is provided which can be adjusted by means of an adjusting apparatus in such a way that the suction apparatus can be brought selectively into or out of contact with the surface of the folding box stack. In the case of the transfer of a folding box stack, the suction apparatus is brought into contact with the surface of the folding box stack, and the suction apparatus is activated at least temporarily during the transfer of the folding box stack.
DETECTOR WITH TRIANGLE-SHAPED INDUCTOR COILS
A document feeder may include a media transporter to feed a number of sheets of media through a feed path and a detector to detect the presence of a metal object including a number of triangular-shaped inductor coils to detect the metal objects. A method of detecting a metal object coupled to a sheet of media entering a document processing device may include applying an alternating current to a number of triangular-shaped inductor coils to create a magnetic field upstream of a media feed path, detecting a change in a magnetic flux of the magnetic field due to a metal object in the path of said magnetic flux, and producing a warning when the changes in the magnetic flux are detected.

IMAGE RECORDING DEVICE
A first feeder contacts a first surface of a first sheet held in a first tray and feeds the first sheet toward a recording unit. A second feeder contacts a first surface of a second sheet held in a second tray and feeds the second sheet toward the recording unit. An inner member is disposed above a standing plate. An outer member comprises an upstream portion opposing the standing plate, and a downstream portion opposing the inner member. The inner member guides the first surface of the first sheet and the first surface of the second sheet. The standing plate guides the first surface of the second sheet. The upstream portion of the outer member guides a second surface of the second sheet, and the downstream portion guides a second surface of the first sheet and the second surface of the second sheet. The standing plate moves relative to the outer member.

Paper sheet processing device and partition card
A paper sheet processing device includes: a charging inlet that takes in paper sheets in a conveyance direction, the paper sheets including at least one target sheet and a partition card overlapped on the target sheet, the partition card having a main surface portion having at least one identification hole group, the identification hole group having at least two through holes arranged along the conveyance direction; a detection unit that detects take-in of the paper sheets by the charging unit, and detects the identification hole group; and a control unit that determines a paper sheet is the partition card in a case where the identification hole group has been detected by the detection unit, and determines that a paper sheet is the target sheet in a case where the identification hole group has not been detected by the detection unit.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a displacement member configured to be in contact with discharged print media and be displaced according to the amount of a stack of the print media, and detects the stack amount based on the displacement of the displacement member. The apparatus performs a first or second detection operation based on the detected stack amount. In the first detection operation, after a specified number of print media are discharged with the displacement member positioned at the evacuation position where it does not come into contact with a print medium, the displacement member is brought into contact with the print media to detect the stack amount. In the second detection operation, the stack amount is detected with the displacement member in contact with the print media.
Paper feeder and image forming apparatus
A paper feeder includes: first and second accommodation units which are arranged side by side in a casing along a recording paper conveyance direction and in which recording paper is loaded in a specified accommodation orientation; and an erroneous loading detection unit which is provided in a non-loaded region between the first and second accommodation units, detects whether or not the recording paper is loaded, and detects recording paper accommodated in an orientation other than the specified accommodation orientation, wherein the paper feeder can shift a bundle of the recording paper loaded in the second accommodation unit to the first accommodation unit arranged on a downstream side of the recording paper conveyance direction.
APPARATUS FOR APPLYING NOISE REDUCER ELEMENTS TO TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
Apparatus for applying noise reducing elements to tyres for vehicle wheels. The apparatus includes a loading station of stacks of noise reducing elements, an extraction station of noise reducing elements from each stack placed downstream of the loading station, and a conveyor placed downstream of the extraction station and extending along a predefined path. The conveyor is configured for supporting and advancing in a row the noise reducing elements extracted from the stacks which are then applied to a radially inner surface of the tyres. The extraction of each of the noise reducing elements contemplates: retaining a first noise reducing element placed at the base of a stack; raising the remaining noise reducing elements of the stack from the first noise reducing element; moving away the first noise reducing element according to a set path; and lowering the remaining noise reducing elements of the stack.
