Method of and apparatus for processing an object
An object processing machine for processing a plurality of objects, the machine comprising: a plurality of processing modules, each processing module having a modular structure co-operable with the modular structure of another processing module to form a modular assembly constituting the object processing machine; each processing module being operable to perform a corresponding processing operation on an object and being provided with at least one transfer unit located at a respective port of the processing module; each transfer unit being arranged to transfer an object to or from the corresponding processing module and/or to or from a transfer unit of another processing module of the modular assembly; the transfer units being arranged to co-operate with one another and/or with another processing unit such that objects can be guided from an input of the machine to an output of the machine via a plurality of different transport pathways through the machine, wherein the transport pathway taken by a said object being processed corresponds to the pre-determined processing operations to be performed on the said object. A method of processing a plurality of objects using such a machine is also described.
Paper reversing apparatus, image forming system and computer readable storage medium storing program
A paper reversing apparatus includes a main conveyance path, a reversing path, first and second guiding plates and a hardware processor. The reversing path is disposed so as to form a predetermined angle with respect to the main conveyance path. Paper enters the reversing path from the main conveyance path and leaves the reversing path to the main conveyance path by being sent backward. When paper enters the reversing path, the processor moves the first guiding plate to a position for the paper to follow the first guiding plate and moves the second guiding plate to a position to avoid the paper. When paper leaves the reversing path, the processor moves the second guiding plate to a position for the paper to follow the second guiding plate and moves the first guiding plate to a position to avoid the paper.
Image processing apparatus
In accordance with an embodiment, an image processing apparatus comprises a first opening and closing member, a second opening and closing member, a first tooth section, a second tooth section, and an intermediary tooth section. The first opening and closing member is opened and closed with respect to an apparatus main body with a first hinge as the center. The second opening and closing member is opened and closed with a second hinge arranged in the first opening and closing member as the center. The first tooth section comprises a plurality of teeth fixed coaxially with the first hinge. The second tooth section comprises a plurality of teeth supported coaxially with the second hinge. The intermediary tooth section is engaged with the first tooth section and the second tooth section between the first tooth section and the second tooth section.
RECORDING DEVICE
A recording device 11 includes a device main body 20 including a recording section 25; a placement tray 21 on which a medium M is configured to be placed; and a cassette 22 provided below the recording section 25 and the placement tray 21 and configured to accommodate a medium M. The device main body 20 includes a first path 41 configured to feed medium M placed on the placement tray 21 to the recording section 25 and further to transport the recorded medium and a second path 42 configured to transport medium placed on the placement tray 21 to the cassette 22.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND TRANSFERRING SHEETS
Provided are systems and methods for identifying, isolating, and/or aligning sheets. An identification system can facilitate accurate identification of a sheet by (i) vacating one or more components of the system that are not the sheet from a zone of detection, and/or (ii) determining a reference axis of the sheet. An isolation system can facilitate accurate isolation of a sheet by (i) providing targeted air flow, and/or (ii) introducing a wave into the sheet. Identification systems and/or isolation systems described herein may facilitate isolation of sheets that were previously fastened together by one or more fasteners. An alignment system can facilitate accurate alignment of a first sheet at an upstream location relative to a second sheet at a downstream location via machine learning.
Feeder and backlight production apparatus
The present disclosure provides a feeder and a backlight production apparatus. The feeder includes: a storing assembly configured to store a material tray on which a plurality of elements to be fed are placed; a fetching assembly configured to obtain the material tray from the storing assembly by sucking and transport the material tray; a distributing assembly configured to obtain at least one element to be fed by sucking from the material tray transported by the fetching assembly, and distribute the at least one element to be fed; and a turn-over assembly configured to turn over the at least one element to be fed distributed by the distributing assembly, and transport the at least one element to be fed to a next process unit.

Icing Machine and Icing Method
A system for the automated coating of baked good with a water based icing is provided. In particular, a system for the automated movement of icing and controls of variables such as temperature, moisture, and/or flow rate of the icing is provided to maintain the characteristics of the icing for extended periods of operation of an associated coating system.
Media unit redirector assembly for media processing devices
Disclosed is an example of a registration assembly for a media processing device, including a registration surface. The registration assembly including a bias member coupled to the registration surface to bias the registration surface toward the media processing path to apply a force to a media unit. The registration assembly including an activator coupled to a roller, the roller to be driven via contact with the media unit. The activator configured to move the registration surface toward the media processing path into the active position to engage the media unit responsive to rotation of the roller in the first rotational direction. The activator configured to move the registration surface away from the media processing path into an inactive position responsive to rotation of the roller in the second rotational direction.
CARD PROCESSING DEVICE
A card processing device may include a print unit and a card inverting unit that inverts front/rear of the card. The print unit may include a thermal head and a card conveyance mechanism. The card inverting unit may include a card holding part, a card drawing and feeding mechanism, and a rotating mechanism that rotates the card holding part. A conveyance path may be provided inside the card holding part. The conveyance path may be linear. The card drawing and feeding mechanism may include two drive rollers, and two pad rollers. A distance between a center of the drive roller and a center of the thermal head may be shorter than a length of the card. The thermal head may print on the card while the card conveyance mechanism conveys the card. The rotating mechanism may rotate the card holding part such that the conveyance path is inclined.
