A medium stacker includes a stacking portion, a rotary portion, a medium holder, a medium mover, and circuitry. The stacking portion has a stacking face to stack a sheet medium on which an image is formed. The rotary portion is configured to hold a leading end of the sheet medium in a sheet conveyance direction, reverse the sheet medium on the stacking face of the stacking portion, and convey the sheet medium. The medium holder is configured to hold the sheet medium when the sheet medium is conveyed by the rotary portion. The medium mover is configured to move the sheet medium to a predetermined position in a direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction of the sheet medium while the sheet medium is held by the rotary portion. The circuitry is configured to control the rotary portion and the medium mover.

TURNING STATION FOR METAL SHEETS OR METAL SHEET STACKS, AND METHOD FOR USING THE TURNING STATION

A turning station for metal sheets or metal sheet stacks, having a first support which forms a first support plane for a first side of the metal sheets, and having a second support which forms a second support plane for a second side of the metal sheets. The supports are rotatable about a horizontal rotation axis and provided with a plurality of detents which project beyond longitudinal edges of the metal sheets. The supports are part of a rotary installation with a frame having two end-side rotary bearings on a common rotation axis and a basket which is mounted in the two rotary bearings for motorized rotation about the rotation axis, the basket having end-side linear guides for the two supports. The supports by way of support planes which extend in parallel and are oriented toward one another are held in the basket such that the rotation axis is situated between the two support planes and the two supports in the end-side linear guides are in each case movable in a motorized manner in a movement direction toward and away from the rotation axis. Methods for unpackaging, storing, and turning metal sheet stacks are also provided.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING AND TRANSFERRING SHEETS

Provided are systems and methods for identifying, isolating, and/or aligning sheets. An identification system can facilitate accurate identification of a sheet by (i) vacating one or more components of the system that are not the sheet from a zone of detection, and/or (ii) determining a reference axis of the sheet. An isolation system can facilitate accurate isolation of a sheet by (i) providing targeted air flow, and/or (ii) introducing a wave into the sheet. Identification systems and/or isolation systems described herein may facilitate isolation of sheets that were previously fastened together by one or more fasteners. An alignment system can facilitate accurate alignment of a first sheet at an upstream location relative to a second sheet at a downstream location via machine learning.

The existing devices are costly, time consuming and insecure for scanning the answer sheets. A device for performing secure and automatic flipping and scanning of documents has been provided. The device is configured to be assembled in the form of a box. The device comprising a scanning stand, a page flipping arm, one or more suction cups, one or more rollers, a controller and a mobile device. The controller is configured to control the operation of the scanning stand, the page flipper arm and the roller. The mobile device further comprises a mobile application which is further configured to control controller. The device further configured to scan the handwriting of a candidate to avoid malpractice during the examination.

The control unit rotates the rotor to rotate the conveyance roller in a predetermined direction, and rotates the conveyance roller in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction. The control unit controls the driving current in the second control mode, and then switches, in response to a value corresponding to a rotor rotation speed having reached a target speed, from the second control mode to the first control mode to control the driving current. The target speed is a speed which corresponds to a speed when the conveyance roller conveys the sheet and is a constant value.
