The method includes heating the coupling agent coated region of the glass ribbon to form a coupling agent treated region of the glass ribbon and winding the glass ribbon onto a collection roll. A glass ribbon has a thickness of at most about 300 m and a major surface. At least a portion of the major surface includes a coupling agent treated region. Upon forming a polymeric layer on the coupling agent treated region at least five months after forming the coupling agent treated region, the polymeric layer has a peel force of at least 200 gf/in.
Method for the production of a sealing tape roll
A method for producing a sealing tape roll of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the at least one barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of foam, comprises assembling and bonding of at least one first foam strip, which is provided on at least one of its side surfaces with a film strip, an adhesive tape strip, or an adhesive liquid medium, to at least one second foam strip in such a way that a foam-barrier layer web is obtained, in which at least one barrier layer originating from the film strip, the adhesive tape strip, or the adhesive liquid medium is arranged between adjacent foam strips. The foam-barrier layer web is then wound up into a sealing tape roll.
Method for the production of a sealing tape roll
A method for producing a sealing tape roll of flexible, compressed foam with at least one barrier layer extending in a radial direction thereof, the at least one barrier layer arranged axially between two layers of foam, comprises assembling and bonding of at least one first foam strip, which is provided on at least one of its side surfaces with a film strip, an adhesive tape strip, or an adhesive liquid medium, to at least one second foam strip in such a way that a foam-barrier layer web is obtained, in which at least one barrier layer originating from the film strip, the adhesive tape strip, or the adhesive liquid medium is arranged between adjacent foam strips. The foam-barrier layer web is then wound up into a sealing tape roll.
SHEET TRANSPORTATION DEVICE
A sheet transportation device includes a guide roll along which a sheet is to be wound. The sheet includes a plurality of tabs provided intermittently in a longitudinal direction along at least one end in a width direction. The guide roll includes a cylindrical roll main body and a short-diameter portion connected with the roll main body so as to be outer, in the width direction of the sheet, to the roll main body. The roll main body is located closer to a center, in the width direction, of the sheet than a transportation path for the end. A portion of the sheet that is closer to the center than the end is wound along the roll main body. The short-diameter portion is connected with the roll main body via a stepped portion, and has an outer diameter shorter than an outer diameter of the roll main body.
SHEET TRANSPORTATION DEVICE
A sheet transportation device includes a guide roll along which a sheet is to be wound. The sheet includes a plurality of tabs provided intermittently in a longitudinal direction along at least one end in a width direction. The guide roll includes a cylindrical roll main body and a short-diameter portion connected with the roll main body so as to be outer, in the width direction of the sheet, to the roll main body. The roll main body is located closer to a center, in the width direction, of the sheet than a transportation path for the end. A portion of the sheet that is closer to the center than the end is wound along the roll main body. The short-diameter portion is connected with the roll main body via a stepped portion, and has an outer diameter shorter than an outer diameter of the roll main body.
REUSABLE HARVESTED BALE WRAPPING MATERIAL
The current disclosure involves the arrangement and efficient deployment of self-adhering flexible sheet material in individual segments to encircle a bale of harvested material and isolate it from the wind, precipitation, and other elements as it remains in the field following the formation of the bale attendant with harvesting of the crop, until collected for further processing. For use with harvested crops such as cotton or hay, the individual wrapping segments further comprise adhering members, which cause a portion of a wrapping segment, generally found at what is considered a trailing end during a wrapping cycle, to releasably attach to adhering members on an opposite surface of the same wrapping segment.

Provided is a winding apparatus that is provided with a splitter that splits radiant light from a light source unit into measurement light applied to a side face part of a first sheet and a second sheet and reference light applied to a reference surface, an interference detector that detects interference light formed by interference between the reference light reflected by the reference surface and the measurement light reflected by the side face part, a position detector that detects the position of the first sheet and the position of the second sheet on the basis of the detected interference light, and a decision processor that decides the quality of the wound body on the basis of the detected positions of the first sheet and the second sheet.

Method for producing logs (B1, B2) of continuous thin products, or web products, in optimized manner by tracking defects in the surface and/or in the thickness detected on the products, comprising a step of continuously winding a thin product (T) into logs (B1, B2) on a winding machine, in order to produce at least one primary log, a step of identifying any defects in the surface and/or the thickness of said continuous thin product, a step of storing in a database system (31), outside the primary log, information related to said defects comprising at least the position of said defects with respect to a reference system associated with the primary log, a step of assigning a primary ID code to said primary log, a step of marking said primary log with said primary code, a step of associating, in said database system (31), information on said defects with the primary ID code of the primary log, so that, in said database, to a given primary ID code information are associated related to defects in the surface and/or the thickness of the respective primary log, that can be identified based on their position on the primary log, a step of using said information on the defects of the primary log, stored in the database system (31), in order to optimize at least one subsequent processing of the product wound into the respective primary log, said use providing for recognizing the primary code of the primary log being processed and the processing of the product based on the information on the surface defects associated to the primary log.
