FEEDER
A feeder for which carrier tape is reliably inserted to a specified position, the feeder including entrance retaining member that pushes carrier tape inserted into tape insertion section towards tape feeding path, rotatable lever that raises entrance retaining member when carrier tape is inserted into tape insertion section, and stopper member that regulates the insertion position of the carrier tape inserted into tape insertion section to a specified position when entrance retaining member is raised by the rotation of lever.
Image-forming apparatus that forms an image on a sheet of continuous recording medium
An image-forming apparatus forms an image on a roll sheet. A printer receives the roll sheet, forms the image thereon and ejects the image-formed roll sheet to a reel. A sheet position sensor, which is positioned near the printer, measures a position of the roll sheet along a width direction thereof. A control portion receives positional measurement data about the position of the roll sheet along the width direction thereof from the sheet position sensor and controls at least one of start time of image-forming operation in the printer and an image-writing position of the printer by settling at least one of the start time of image-forming operation and the image-writing position based on the positional measurement data.

Electronically controlled dispenser for dispensing flexible sheet material
A method of grounding a dispenser. A low impedance path is connected to elements internal to the dispenser. The low impedance path is also connected to a surface contact spring which is adapted to contact an external mounting surface when the dispenser is affixed thereto. Static electrical charge accumulated on the elements is discharged through the low impedance path and the surface contact spring to the external mounting surface.
Light irradiation device and printing apparatus
A light irradiation device includes: a UV irradiation unit that applies light to UV ink having been applied onto a medium; and a moving unit that moves a relative position of the medium and the UV irradiation unit in the Z-axis direction; wherein the UV irradiation unit includes, a light source row formed by arranging plural light emitting diodes (LED), irradiation intensity of which falls within a first range, in the Y-axis direction orthogonal to the Z-axis direction; and another light source row located next to the light source row and formed by arranging plural LEDs, irradiation intensity of which falls within a second range, in the Y-axis direction.
Media conveyance device, printer, and control method of a printer
A printer takes up slack in media while suppressing excessive rewinding, and can check the movement of a movable member that moves following change in tension on the media. The printer drives the supply motor in a first operating mode in a slack removal operation that rewinds the recording paper (media) onto a paper roll 2, and stops driving the supply motor when the tension lever (movable member) moves from a slack-side first position toward a second position. In the movement checking operation, the supply motor is driven in a second operating mode with greater output than the first operating mode, rewinds the recording paper on the paper roll, and sets the tension lever to the second position.
DRY AND WET TISSUE MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A dry and wet tissue machine includes: a shell, which includes a housing and a cover, a storage space being defined in the housing, and the cover being rotatably disposed on the housing and configured to open and close the storage space; a humidification mechanism, which includes a spray head, and the spray head being disposed on the housing; a conveying and pressing assembly, which includes a driver, a conveying roller and a pressing component, the conveying roller being rotatably disposed on the housing, the pressing component being disposed on the cover, and the driver being configured to drive the conveying roller to rotate; and a detection assembly, which includes an electric control board, a first photoelectric sensor and a second photoelectric sensor, the first photoelectric sensor and the second photoelectric sensor being electrically connected to the electric control board individually.
Spool unloading device
A spool unloading device comprising: a spindle; a first bulk spool of material is mounted on the spindle, wherein the spindle is rotatably controlled to dispense the material; a series of pulleys for receiving the unspooled material such that a variable length of the material is stored within the device before exiting the device to an upstream equipment; and a drive mechanism for indexing the unspooled material exiting the spool unloading machine at a controlled rate.
Method and apparatus for making tampons
The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for making tampons including primary and secondary absorbent members. During assembly, primary absorbent members, a continuous length of secondary absorbent members, and a continuous cord are advanced in a machine direction. Leading edges of the primary absorbent members are separated from each other in the machine direction by a pitch distance. Discrete secondary absorbent members are cut from the continuous length of secondary absorbent members. Leading edges of the discrete secondary absorbent members are also separated from each other in the machine direction by the pitch distance. The continuous cord is positioned on the secondary absorbent members. And a secondary absorbent member is positioned in contact with a primary absorbent member. A thread is combined with the continuous cord, the secondary absorbent member, and the primary absorbent member.
