AUTOMATED AIR-PILLOW DISPENSER
A transfer and dispensing apparatus is disclosed for the conveying and separation of packaging material, cushions or pillows when needed by the operator. When a packer working over a conveyor receives a box that requires void fill, an operating switch such as a foot pedal is depressed to dispense pillows from the apparatus and into the box in a connected strip. When the operating switch is released, the apparatus stops dispensing pillows, separates the continuous strip of pillows along a transverse perforation in the strip, and ejects the end of the separated segment. The packer can then complete packing the box by placing the severed end of the pillows into the box, advance to the next box, and repeat the process. The transfer and dispensing apparatus may be positioned in any convenient location including adjacent to, above or attached to the inflation device.
Apparatus for and method of folding and winding a band of non-woven fabric of a predetermined length
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for folding and winding a predetermined length of non-woven fabric used for the industrial production of moistened wipes. The apparatus for folding and winding a predetermined length of non-woven fabric from a roll wound on a core is mounted on a countertop, equipped with a housing, provided with a drive unit. Mounted on a hub (1) is a cylinder (2), to which eccentrically attached are rods (3) from which at a certain distance is mounted a linear feed (4). The hub assembly (1) with the cylinder (2) with the rods (3) and the linear feed (4) can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

ROLL-TO-ROLL DEPOSITION APPARATUS AND ROLL-TO-ROLL DEPOSITION METHOD
A roll-to-roll deposition apparatus includes a vacuum chamber, a film travel mechanism, a lithium source, and a first roller. The vacuum chamber is capable of maintaining a reduced-pressure state. The film travel mechanism is capable of causing a film to travel inside the vacuum chamber. The lithium source is capable of evaporating lithium inside the vacuum chamber. The first roller is disposed between a deposition surface of the film and the lithium source. The first roller has a transfer pattern that receives the lithium evaporated from the lithium source. The first roller transfers a pattern of a lithium layer corresponding to the transfer pattern to the deposition surface while rotating.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING THIN GLASS RIBBONS
Systems, apparatuses and methods for processing a glass ribbon (22). A glass ribbon is supplied to an upstream side of a conveying apparatus (32). A pulling force is applied on the glass ribbon (22) at a downstream side of the conveying apparatus (32). The glass ribbon (22) is supported at first and second support devices along a travel path of the conveying apparatus (32). Each of the first and second support devices (72) establishes a non-rolling, line-type interface with the glass ribbon (22). Further, the first support device (72a) is spaced from the second support device (72c) along the travel path. In some embodiments, the line-type interface comprises a sliding interface or a gas bearing interface.

Material and hardware to automatically clean flexible electronic web rolls
Novel materials and devices can remove small defects from long rolls of flexible electronics material while they are in continuous motion. The cleaning materials are designed to remove small particles without transferring defects or damaging the flexible electronics. The device generally consists of variable speed, motor-driven cylinders mounted on movable brackets. The cylinders are capable of matching the speed of the cleaning material such that the cleaning material is always in contact with the web roll to be cleaned. The brackets are capable of rotating so the same material can be used more than once. Another material is used to remove debris from the cleaning material. A similar device consisting of motor-driven cylinders and movable is used to apply the debris removal film to the cleaning film, allowing the cleaning film to be used multiple times.
