APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE MAKING OF PRESSURE-SENSITIVE LABELS

Apparatus and method for the making of a pressure-sensitive adhesive stock for labels using a label production line, are disclosed. The stock comprises a first layer of facestock material configured to be die-cut to form the stock of labels surrounded by a matrix, the first layer being backed by a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive, which in turn is covered by a release liner. 5 The apparatus and method allow the matrix of the facestock to be peeled-off from the release liner on the label production line without stopping the label production line by merely slowing down the label production line. A pressure-sensitive adhesive stock free of the matrix of the facestock is therefore produced without lowering production yields.

Method and apparatus for drying inks printed on heat sensitive absorbent article components

The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for printing and drying inks on substrates. Printing systems may include a metering device positioned between a printing station and a light source. During operation, the printing station deposits ink onto a substrate to define a printed region. And the light source directs infrared light onto the substrate to define an illumination zone. The printed region is advanced from the printing station to the metering device and from the metering device through the illumination zone, wherein the ink is dried with infrared light traveling from the light source, which also heats the substrate and changes the modulus of elasticity of the substrate. In turn, the metering device isolates the printing station from the change in the modulus of elasticity to help reduce phase shifts caused by changes in the modulus of elasticity resulting from heat in the substrate.

CARTRIDGES, DISPENSERS, AND KITS FOR DISPENSING INSTRUMENT COVERS

A kit for dispensing disposable stethoscope covers and other instrument covers is provided. The kit may include a cartridge and a dispenser for automatic touch-free dispensing of disposable stethoscope covers. The kit further includes a first spool having a roll of backing member with disposable stethoscope covers disposed thereon and a second spool for receiving the spent backing member after a disposable stethoscope cover has been removed, self-contained within the cartridge. The cartridge is inserted within the dispenser so that a user may insert a stethoscope head through a window of the dispenser to attach to a disposable stethoscope cover. Alternatively, the cartridge or cassette may be comprised of disposable instrument covers so that a user may insert the instrument near or through the window of the dispenser for application of the instrument cover directly to the instrument. The kit may further include a proximity sensor for detecting a user.

Fulcrum Tape Pinching Gun

A tape dispensing device with a tape head pivotally mounted on a housing. The first end of the tape head features a cutting tool and the second end features one or more protrusions or feet. Adjacent to the tape head and located on an inner surface of the housing is an arc or trough shaped stop that is complementary in shape to the second end of the tape head. When the user applies force to the first end of the tape head while placing tape on a separate surface, the tape head rotates causing the foot or feet on the tape head to push the length of tape into the trough causing it to stick to the trough. At the same time, the foot creases the tape causing the free end of the tape to stiffen or stick out.

MAGNETIC TRANSMISSION MECHANISM OF CORRECTION TAPE
20230399190 · 2023-12-14 ·

The present disclosure discloses a magnetic transmission mechanism for a correction tape. The magnetic transmission mechanism includes a first rotating magnet and a second rotating magnet. The first rotating magnet and the second rotating magnet are connected to each other by magnetic attraction in a contact or non-contact manner. One of the first rotating magnet and the second rotating magnet is an active member and the other is a follower rotating under magnetic attraction along with the active member. The magnetic transmission mechanism is in connection between a tape supply mechanism and a tape take-up mechanism of the correction tape. The present disclosure has the following beneficial effects: the structure is simple, the magnetic attraction principle is applied to the transmission between the tape supply mechanism and the tape take-up mechanism of the correction tape, and provides a new option for the transmission between the spools of the correction tape.
