PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus can prevent a print medium from buckling during discharging. In a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is higher than or equal to a specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to a discharging tray at the print conveyance speed, and in a case in which the print conveyance speed determined by the print mode is lower than the specified speed, the print medium after printing is conveyed to the discharging tray at the specified speed increased from the print conveyance speed.
MEDIA STACKING MECHANISMS
Example implementations relate to media stacking mechanisms. In some examples, a printing device can include a stacking mechanism that includes a tamper to tamp print media positioned within the stacking mechanism, and a controller comprising instructions to: tamp a first sheet of print media received at the stacking mechanism a first distance based on a first size of the first sheet of print media, tamp a second sheet of print media received at the stacking mechanism a second distance based on the second size of the second sheet of print media, wherein the second sheet of print media is positioned over the first sheet of print media, and tamp a third sheet of print media received at the stacking mechanism the second distance when the third sheet of print media is the first size, wherein the third sheet of print media is positioned over the second sheet of print media.
MONEY HANDLING SYSTEM AND MONEY HANDLING EQUIPMENT
A money handling system includes a money handling device operated by a customer and a reception device which accepts input of information about a monetary transaction of the customer. The money handling device includes first control circuitry and the reception device includes second control circuitry. The second control circuitry is configured to output transaction information in response to accepting the input. The first control circuitry is configured to execute, in response to obtaining the transaction information output by the reception device, a transaction preparation process to prepare money for the monetary transaction. The first control circuitry is configured to execute, in response to accepting an operation by the customer, a transaction process based on the transaction information by using the money prepared in the transaction preparation process.

System and method for monitoring health of a sheet-conveyance system
A sheet processing apparatus comprises a roller disposed in a sheet conveyance path; a sheet sensor disposed in the sheet conveyance path and configured to detect conveyance of sheets and generate sensor information indicative of detection; and a controller. The controller is configured to, for each sheet of a predetermined number of sheets of a plurality of sheets conveyed by the roller, use the sensor information to generate an individual sheet-conveyance dataset indicating a sheet passage interval; and store the individual sheet-conveyance dataset in data storage. The controller is further configured to, after the roller conveys the predetermined number of sheets, calculate a summary sheet-conveyance dataset including sheet passage interval statistics for the predetermined number of sheets; store the summary sheet-conveyance dataset in the data storage; discard the individual sheet-conveyance datasets from the data storage; and evaluate the sheet passage interval statistics to determine whether to modify the predetermined number of sheets.
SHEET DISCHARGE DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet discharge device includes a discharge member and a control part. When a sheet is discharged to a first offset position, the control part shifts the discharge member to a first reception position separated from a home position in a second direction by a second distance shorter than a first distance, and shifts the discharge member to a first discharge position separated from the first reception position in the first direction by the first distance after the sheet is received. When the sheet is discharged to a second offset position, the control part shifts the discharge member to a second reception position separated from the home position in the first direction by the second distance, and shifts the discharge member to a second discharge position separated from the second reception position in the second direction by the first distance after the sheet is received.

Automated banking machine firmware flow control
Described in example embodiments herein are techniques for implementing an automated banking machine such as an ATM. An example embodiments, tracks the flow of a note through an ATM. Another embodiment corrects errors detected during a note flow. Some embodiments are in the form of security protocols for communications or other communication protocols, or techniques for monitoring devices operating in the ATM. Yet another example embodiment is directed to security of a currency cassette. Still yet another embodiment is directed to detecting tampering of the ATM's gate and/or shuttle. Yet still another embodiment determines if notes in a shuttle were delivered.

CONVERTING MACHINE WITH FOLD SENSING MECHANISM
A converting machine is used to convert sheet material into packaging templates for assembly into boxes or other packaging. The converting machine includes a converting assembly that performs transverse conversion functions and longitudinal conversion functions on the sheet material to create the packaging templates. A fanfold crease sensing mechanism detects the presence and location of fanfold creases in the sheet material. Based on the location of the fanfold creases, the fanfold creases are either cut out of the sheet material, or the sheet material is cut to adjust the position of the fanfold crease in a packaging template.
