Paper sheet processing apparatus
A paper sheet S is intermittently transported by a transport mechanism 6 and each processing unit 7, 8 operates while the transport mechanism pauses the transport operation. An information acquisition unit 9 obtains paper information from the paper sheet. A control unit 10 stores the paper information of the paper sheet to be processed for each processing unit, updates the data of the memory in a manner such that the paper information of the paper sheet associated with the previous processing unit is associated with the next processing unit every time the transport mechanism transports, and configures the settings of each processing unit for the next processing operation based on the paper information every time the processing operation of the processing unit is completed.
Paper stacking apparatus, control method, and recording medium
A paper stacking apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a stacking table, a first sensor, and a hardware processor. The stacking table includes an upper face on which papers are stacked, the stacking table being capable of being elevated and lowered by a drive mechanism. The first sensor is disposed at a first position and configured to detect the upper face of the stacking table or an upper face of stacked objects stacked on the stacking table. The hardware processor is coupled to the drive mechanism and the first sensor. The hardware processor is configured to determine that the stacking table is excessively elevated when an elapsed time after starting to detect the object by the first sensor is at least a first excessive-elevation determination value of time.

SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing device includes a stacking member configured to stack a sheet, a discharging member configured to discharge the sheet stacked on the stacking member, a discharging tray on which the sheet discharged by the discharging member is stacked, a pushing-out member configured to push out the sheet from the stacking member toward the discharging member by being moved in a pushing-out direction, and a controller configured to select, on the basis of information of the sheet stacked on the stacking member, whether to move the pushing-out member to which position of a first position and a second position positioned on a side downstream of the first position with respect to the pushing-out direction.

POSTPROCESSING DEVICE THAT CONTROLS ROTATION OF PAIR OF FOLDING ROLLERS ACCORDING TO STATUS OF SHEET
A postprocessing device includes a pair of folding rollers, a folding blade, a transport device, a roller driver, a blade driver, and a drive controller. The drive controller selectively performs one of a first rotation control, including controlling the roller driver to keep rotation speed of the pair of folding rollers constant, while the folding blade is moving away from a nip region, and a second rotation control, including controlling the roller driver to stop the rotation or slow down the rotation speed of the pair of folding rollers, while a tip portion of the folding blade is being withdrawn from a folded portion of a sheaf of sheets folded, and to restore the rotation speed of the pair of folding rollers to original rotation speed, after the tip portion of the folding blade has been removed from the folded portion of the sheaf of sheets folded.

Sheet discharge device, sheet discharge method, and image forming apparatus
A sheet discharge device includes at least one sheet discharge tray, a sheet discharge position adjustment actuator, and a controller. The sheet discharge tray receives discharged sheets. The discharge position adjustment actuator adjusts discharge positions of the discharged sheets on the at least one sheet discharge tray. The controller compares a first rotation amount of first print data printed on a first sheet with a second rotation amount of second print data printed on a second sheet. In response to a determination that the first rotation amount is different than the second rotation amount, the controller controls the sheet discharge position adjustment actuator to (a) discharge the first sheet to a first discharge position and (b) discharge the second sheet to a second discharge position different than the first discharge position.
AUTOMATED BANKING MACHINE FIRMWARE FLOW CONTROL
Described in example embodiments herein are techniques for implementing an automated banking machine such as an ATM. An example embodiments, tracks the flow of a note through an ATM. Another emobidment corrects errors detected during a note flow. Some embodiments are in the form of security protocols for communications or other communication protocols, or techniques for monitoring devices operating in the ATM. Yet another example embodiment is directed to security of a currency cassette. Still yet another embodiment is directed to detecting tampering of the ATM's gate and/or shuttle. Yet still another embodiment determines if notes in a shuttle were delivered.
