SHEET STACKER AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet stacker includes a sheet stacking portion, a pair of sheet restrictors, a sheet feeder, and a position detector. A bundle of sheets is stacked on the sheet stacking portion in a stacking direction, and the sheet stacking portion moves in the stacking direction. The pair of sheet restrictors move in a width direction to regulate a position of the bundle of sheets in the width direction. The sheet feeder feeds a top sheet of the bundle of sheets at a sheet feeding position in a sheet feeding direction. The sheet feeding position is disposed at a top of the bundle of sheets in the stacking direction. The position detector is disposed between the pair of sheet restrictors in the width direction and above the sheet feeding position in the stacking direction. The position detector detects a position of the pair of sheet restrictors in the width direction.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is an image-forming device with which it is possible to achieve a smaller size while suppressing a reduction in visibility or operability of an operation panel. In this image-forming device, paper sheets are discharged from the rear side of the device toward the front side of the device, and the image formation device is provided with: a paper-sheet-loading unit in which the paper sheets are loaded; an operation panel disposed on the downstream-side end in the paper sheet discharge direction of the paper-sheet-loading unit, at least a part of the operation panel being disposed in a loading region of the paper-sheet-loading unit; and a protruding part disposed to the side of the operation panel in the loading region, the protruding part protruding upward from the top surface of the paper-sheet-loading unit, and extending in the paper sheet discharge direction.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
A post-processing apparatus (1) includes a first conveyance path (41), a first processing part (55), a second conveyance path (95) and a merging conveyance path (97), and the first processing part (55) includes a conveying rollers pair (80) including a first roller (81) and a second roller (83) conveying the sheet along a first direction; a first folding rollers pair (84) including the first roller (81) and a third roller (85) forming a first nip, conveying the sheet along a second direction and performing a folding processing along a first fold line; a second folding rollers pair (86) including the third roller (85) and a fourth roller (87) forming a second nip, conveying the sheet along a third direction and performing a folding processing along a second fold line; a first folding guide (89) movable to the first nip; and a second folding guide (91) movable to the second nip.

Inkjet printer
An inkjet printer including a feeding device configured to feed a sheet in a feeding direction, a platen configured to support the sheet, a recording device configured to eject ink on the sheet, contacting members configured to contact the sheet, a detector configured to detect an end portion position of the sheet in a width direction, and a controller configured to control the feeding device and the recording device is provided. The contacting members are arranged at intervals in the width direction, and the controller performs a suppression process in which at least one of the feeding device and the recording device is controlled to suppress a contact of the sheet with the recording device when the end portion position detected by the detector is a position between the two adjacent contacting members.

Folding device, post-processing device and image forming apparatus
A folding device includes a conveying path, a placement portion, a through portion, a first folding member, a second folding member, a rotational driving unit, a rotational position detecting mechanism, a signal receiving unit, and a rotational drive control unit. The rotational drive control unit, when the signal receiving unit receives a signal, determines whether the first folding member is in a state of moving from an initial position to a protruded position or in a state of moving to the opposite direction, and, in a case of being determined to be in the state of moving from the initial position to the protruded position, controls the rotational driving unit to reverse the direction of rotational drive, and in a case of being determined to be in the state of moving to the opposite direction, controls the rotational driving unit to maintain the direction of rotational drive.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SORTING ITEMS
Sorting systems and methods for large quantities of items in industrial processes are described. The systems, devices and methods are for receiving, sorting and removing items dynamically. A first group of items, such as letters or other mail pieces, are injected by a belt into a pocket to a form a first stack, and a divider is extended near the first stack. The divider allows for a second group of items to either be injected to form a second stack behind the divider, or to be diverted and injected into another pocket. The first stack can be removed while the second group is being injected.
