The present invention relates to a method and device for dispensing thread. The thread dispensing device comprises a transport unit having at least a first and a second transport element for a defined transport of the thread, a drive unit for driving the first and second transport element and a shifting unit for reversibly shifting the first transport element relative to the second transport element. The present invention further relates to a clipping machine and a method for producing sausage-shaped products, wherein the clipping machine comprises the inventive device for dispensing thread.

The present invention relates to a method and device for dispensing thread. A ribbon self-orienting device that is to be interposed between the source and the target of a traveling ribbon, either during winding of a ribbon into a traversed roll or during pay-off of a ribbon from a traversed roll. A pivoting frame is pivotally coupled to a frame support, at a pivot axis. First and second direction changing means coupled to the pivoting frame serve to change the direction of the traveling ribbon. A force transfer means transfers a transversely directed force, imparted by the traveling ribbon due to the ribbon traversing its traversed roll while under tension, to the pivoting frame causing the pivoting frame to move about the pivot axis. A cable feed device for feeding a cable to a cable processing machine includes a first rotatable roller and a second rotatable roller for guiding the cable such that the cable can be arranged in a loop around the first roller and the second roller, and a cable drive for transporting the cable. The first roller is arranged stationary, wherein the second roller can be pushed or pulled away from the first roller with a force, wherein the second roller has a first state and a second state, wherein the second roller is locked in a first position in the first state and is moved in the second state by the force such that the distance between the first roller and the second roller changes depending on the length of the cable between the two rollers.

Cable handling methods for securing and deploying or retracting one or more cables or hoses into or out of a pipe or cavity allowing inspection of the pipe or cavity are disclosed. In one embodiment a cable is inserted through a cable guide, a flex shaft is attached to the outer surface of the cable guide, and the cable and the flex shaft are deployed into a pipe or cavity to inspect and/or clear an obstruction via a jetter or cutting mechanism.

A guide device is provided that includes a base portion defining a platform and a tab, and a support member positioned between the platform and the tab and extending upwardly. In one aspect of the present disclosure, a flexible cord management device is provided. The device includes a helical coil base, an s-loop, and a post. The base can be wrapped around at least a portion of a bundled cord. The s-loop includes a first loop and a second loop, where the first loop is coupled to a first end of the base. The first loop can be opened to receive a first end of the bundled cord, such that, the first end of the bundled cord is securely disposed through the first loop. The second loop is coupled to the first loop. The post extends from the first end of the base and can be inserted through the second loop to secure the first loop in a closed position and removed from the second loop to enable the first loop to achieve an open position.

In one aspect of the present disclosure, a flexible cord management device is provided. The device includes a helical coil base, an s-loop, and a post. The base can be wrapped around at least a portion of a bundled cord. The s-loop includes a first loop and a second loop, where the first loop is coupled to a first end of the base.
