COUNTER ASSEMBLY
A counter assembly for use with coiling machinery for the measurement of line being wound or unwound on a reel includes a body, an upper arm, a lower arm, and a tensioner assembly. The body defines a central channel for passage of the line. Rollers are coupled to the upper and lower arms and used to press against the line. Movement of the line between the rollers causes at least one roller to rotate. Rotation is converted to a linear distance for accurate measurement. The upper arm has a pivot axis that is below a horizontal portion of the upper arm and is shared with the lower arm. The tensioner assembly is oriented to share the same vector components of motion as the pivoting upper arm. The tensioner assembly also permits adjustment in the resting spring force acting on the rollers.

MATERIAL TRACKING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A material tracking system is provided for tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel. The material tracking system may include a reel, detection element, digital logic components, battery and power components, transceiver and communication components, location receiver, enclosure, analytic component and interface component. One or more sensors relative to the reel may detect a position indicative of forward or reverse reel rotation. A processor may analyze signals to count rotations of the reel, which is savable in memory. A battery may provide power. The system may also record the time and location associated with rotations. A method to operate a tracking material stored on and drawn from a reel using the material tracking system is also provided.
LINKED CABLE-HANDLING AND CABLE-STORAGE DRUM DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR THE COORDINATED MOVEMENT OF A PUSH-CABLE
The disclosure includes systems and devices for collaborative moving of a push-cable. Such systems and devices include cable-storage drum devices used to store and dispense/retract a push-cable, generally via motors or like machine-driven force, and cable-storage drum devices used to direct and impart machine-driven force in moving the push-cable as well as push-cable moving systems employing a cable-storage drum device and a cable-storage drum device. The cable-storage drum devices and cable-handling devices as well as systems of the present invention may be communicatively linked in generating corresponding movements of the push-cable. The disclosure further includes methods associated with such push-cable moving systems and a cleaning element apparatus that may be used in a cable-storage drum device, push-cable handling device, or both in cleaning a push-cable prior to retraction.
