The apparatus comprises a rotatable coil former (6) around which a cable is coiled; means (9) to measure the length of the coiled cable (2) or wire; first holding means (10) positioned on said coil former (6) for holding the leading end (4) of the cable, second holding means (12), separate from said coil former (6) for receiving and holding the leading end (4) of the cable (2), which are movable. Cutting means (14) for cutting the coiled cable to provide a trailing end (5) of the cable are also provided. The apparatus further comprises means (7) to adjust the diameter (D1, D2) of the coil former (6) and control means (18) to set said adjusting means (7) of the diameter of the coil former (6), to provide the required length of the cable and the required length of the said free ends (4, 5) of the coiled cable.
Automated pipe clearer
An automated pipe clearer that is permanently mounted to a building. The pipe clearer has a spool of cable that extends a head assembly down a pipe. The sealed head assembly contains a motor and has a tip at a forward end. A computer control actuates a feeder to extend the cable and connected head assembly down a pipe towards a clog. When the clog is cleared the feeder re-spools the cable leaving the head assembly in the pipe ready for the next clearing operation.
Inkjet loom weaving machine
A system for treatment of thread includes a weft thread printer having an intake positioned to receive a weft thread from a source, as well as an encoder that is configured to detect a length of the weft thread as the weft thread moves through the weft thread printer along a travel path. The system also includes a printhead positioned to apply coatings of a plurality of colors to the weft thread and yield a treated weft thread, as well as an outlet positioned to pass the treated weft thread to a loom.
3D Printer Filament Supply Container Including a Supply Control and Management System
The present invention is a container for storing, managing and monitoring the usage time and consumption of a filamentary material consumed by an associated 3D printer during the printer's operation, including a storage quantity of at least one filament, and a power supply, and filament locking means, and filament lock actuation means. The container is universal and can therefore be used with a variety of makes and models of 3D printer hardware. The filament is fed from the quantity of filament through the filament locking means, prior to exiting the container. The filament locking means are normally actuated, thereby preventing feed of filament to emerge from the container unless a predetermined set of unlocking conditions are met to disengage the filament locking means via the filament lock actuation means.
Method and Apparatus for Fabricating a Susceptor Coil Assembly Ribbon
A method and system for fabricating a susceptor coil assembly ribbon. An apparatus comprising a tensioning section 100 that provides a predetermined amount of tension to a plurality of susceptor coil assemblies 20, a collimating section 200 that receives the plurality of susceptor coil assemblies 20 from the tensioning section 100 and aligns the plurality of susceptor coil assemblies 20. An impaling section 300 receives the plurality of susceptor coil assemblies 20 aligned by the collimating section 200 and impales the plurality of susceptor coil assemblies 20 into a matrix material 320 so as to fabricate a susceptor coil assembly ribbon 30.
YARN STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TEXTILES USING SUCH YARN STORAGE SYSTEM
A yarn storage container for storing a yarn, said storage container (101) comprising a, preferably tubular, container (101), having an axial length (L), a, preferably tubular, wall (501) and a first and second axial extremity (113-115), the first axial extremity (113) of said container (101) having an opening (123) for receiving an end of a yarn (200), said second axial extremity (115) of said container (101) being air-permeably closed, said wall (501) is air permeable by means of a plurality of openings (521-523) present along the axial length of said container (101). The invention further relates to a yarn storage system (1000) comprising a plurality of containers (101), to a textile production assembly (2000) and to methods of producing yarn (200) and textiles.

System for measuring payout length of an elongate member
A system for calculating and displaying a length of payout of an elongate member upon a reel is provided. The system includes a rotatable reel wherein rotation causes the member to be either paid out from or withdrawn toward the reel. A motor is provided and is configured to selectively transmit torque to the reel to urge rotation of the reel. A transmission is in operative connection between the motor and reel, the transmission is configured to transfer torque from the motor to the reel. A sensor is operatively engaged with the reel, the sensor being configured to sense movement of the reel and generate a signal representative of the sensed movement of the reel. A controller that is configured to receive the signal from the sensor, and calibrated to determine a length of hose that is paid out from the reel based upon the signal.

Reel take-up machine
A reel take-up apparatus includes a frame, a drive mechanism, a hydraulic counterbalance system, and a pair of positioning actuators. The frame may be configured to receive a reel from one end. The drive mechanism is generally slidably mounted to the frame and configured to rotate the reel. The hydraulic counterbalance system is generally configured to counterbalance a weight of the drive mechanism to allow the drive mechanism to float freely on the frame. The pair of positioning actuators may be configured to move a pair of support rollers toward and away from each other so as to (i) lift the reel from a support surface, (ii) support the reel during rotation by the drive mechanism, and (iii) lower the reel to the support surface for removal from the frame.
