WINDING MACHINE FOR WRAPPING MULTIPLE COILS OF ROLLED MATERIAL AROUND A REEL
A winding machine (100; 100a, 100b) for wrapping strands of rolled material, such as a bar, a rod, wire or the like, around a reel into coils: a reel (50; 50a, 50b); a base flange (1) defining a first catching recess (6) intended to receive an end of a first strand (17; 17a, 17b); a first cover (9) movable between an open position leaving the first catching recess (6) exposed and a closed position covering the first catching recess (6) to form a closed passage for the end of the first strand (17; 17a, 17b) in order to secure the end of the first strand to the reel (50; 50a, 50b). At least a second element (2) defining a second catching recess (4); and at least a second cover (8) movable between an open position leaving the further catching recess (4) exposed and a closed position covering the second catching recess (4) to form a closed passage for the end of a second strand (27; 27a, 27b) in order to secure the end of the second strand to the reel (50; 50a, 50b).
Optical fiber terminal fixing tool for winding optical fiber and optical fiber winding method
An optical fiber terminal fixing tool includes: a disc-shaped substrate having a plate surface; a holding surface which is provided on the plate surface and interposes the terminal portion of the optical fiber between the holding surface and the first flange portion; and a protrusion which continues in a circumferential direction with a larger diameter than an outer diameter of the first flange portion in an outer circumferential portion on the plate surface while protruding toward the bobbin in a state where the fixing tool is mounted on the rotating shaft of the optical fiber winding machine.

WIRE WINDING DEVICE AND WIRE WINDING METHOD
A wire winding device includes a lock jig including a pair of tip end portions configured to approach each other or separate from each other. A control portion of the wire winding device is configured to execute: a step of winding a wire onto a winding drum; and a step of making the lock jig sandwich a pulled-out part of the wire, inserting the lock jig into a clip, and opening the tip end portions of the lock jig against biasing force of the clip to open the clip.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR WINDING A THREAD
A device and a method wind a thread on a winding machine. The winding machine has a spool sleeve and a spool holder, which has two oppositely disposed centering plates, having an adjustable axial distance relative to each other, for tensioning the spool sleeve. The centering plates each have a centering cone which engages in an open spool sleeve end, and an arrester hook for arresting the thread being provided in one of the centering plates. The arrester hook is oriented in the circumferential direction of the centering plate, and the centering plate having the arrester hook contains an outer cone which overlaps the outer diameter of the spool sleeve end. An inside of the arrester hook is formed by a nose-like recess provided in the outer cone.
YARN CARRIER TUBES
The present disclosure is directed to a reusable yarn carrier tube around which yarn may be wound at high speeds (e.g., within winding machines). The yarn carrier tube may include a pick-up groove having structural features configured to better snag yarn to initiate winding of the yarn around the cylindrical body of the yarn carrier tube. The structural features may include an adaptable snagging feature that is adaptable to many different yarn types (e.g., diameter, denier, texture, material). The structural features may include projections (e.g., teeth) with incremental narrowing therebetween in the direction opposite to the rotational winding direction. The teeth may increase in sharpness (e.g., decreasing radii of curvature) as the yarn moves further into the pick-up groove.
