ORCHESTRATION OF AN OCCUPANT EVACUATION OPERATION USING DESTINATION ENTRY FIXTURES

A system and method of orchestrating an evacuation operation using an elevator is provided. The method includes displaying that an evacuation request using the elevator is an available option, receiving one or more evacuation requests to use the elevator, and displaying evacuation information.

Contactless Elevator Service for an Elevator Based on Augmented Datasets

Systems, methods and devices for real-time contactless elevator service operation of an elevator includes a trained neural network (TNN) model. The TNN model is trained using a training processor with augmented datasets as a synthetic training dataset, to later perform elevator identifier recognition. The augmented data sets are generated from synthetic text images, the synthetic text images are augmented with different geometrical parameters and visual parameters to a predetermined number of variations in appearance to a set of training elevator identifiers. A camera captures a user image. A text image portion from the user image is extracted using the TNN model, and detects an elevator identifier in the extracted text image portion using the extracted text image portion and the TNN model. The detected elevator identifier is displayed for user confirmation or user cancellation, and upon user confirmation, generates a control command based the detected elevator identifier associated with an elevator service.

Safety braking systems for elevators

Elevator safety brake and/or safety actuator health monitoring systems and methods including an elevator car moveable within an elevator shaft along a guide rail, and a first safety brake assembly arranged on the elevator car and configured to engage with the guide rail to provide emergency braking to the elevator car. The first brake assembly includes a first safety brake and an electronic safety actuator operably connected to the first safety brake. A health monitoring element is in communication with the electronic safety actuator. The health monitoring element is configured to record information associated with operation of the first safety brake assembly, compare the recorded information against at least one predetermined threshold, and when the recorded information exceeds the at least one predetermined threshold, generate a notification that maintenance is required.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OUTPUTTING AN AUDIBLE VOICE MESSAGE IN AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
20220036875 · 2022-02-03 ·

A method and a device for outputting an audible voice message in an elevator system includes at least the following steps: transmitting the content of the voice message as a text file to be output via the Internet to a web-based text-to-speech service provider; receiving an audio file from the service provider via the Internet, the audio file having been created based upon the transmitted text file to be output; and outputting the audio file in the elevator system as the audible voice message. If necessary, the text file to be output can be obtained by translating a source language text file into a target language beforehand with the aid of a translation service provider. The targeted use of online service providers allows the outlay needed to realize voice announcements in an elevator system at different use locations with different languages to be greatly reduced.
