DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A CONTROL DEVICE OF A PASSENGER-CONVEYING SYSTEM
A device for connecting a control device of a passenger transport installation to a communication unit for transmitting data to an entity remote from the passenger transport installation includes at least one detection unit detecting a first physical variable of the control device. The device further includes an evaluation unit generating a first electrical signal on the basis of the first physical variable detected. The device also includes a first interface connecting the device to the communication unit. The first electrical signal is transmitted to the communication unit via the first interface. The detection unit detects at least one of an electrical resistance, an electrical voltage, a visual state an acoustic signal of the control device as the first physical variable.
Method for determining information relating to elevator components received in an elevator shaft
A method determines information relating to elevator components received in an elevator shaft, the elevator components each being provided with a machine-readable marker on which component-specific information is stored, which information is read out by a marker reading device. In the method, a movable elevator element on which the marker reading device is arranged is moved through the elevator shaft and the component-specific information is read out from the markers. The markers can be, for example, markers that can be read out electromagnetically and in a contactless manner, such as RFID tags. The method also includes a comparison of the read-out component-specific information with nominal specifications, and the compiling of a report indicating instances of conformity and/or differences between the read-out component-specific information and the nominal specifications.
Low cost roped jump lift concept
A jumping elevator system and a jumping method used in construction process of building. The jumping method includes preliminarily positioning and mounting, by means of a temporary working platform at a first height, a guide rail on the hoistway substantially corresponding to the first height; removing the temporary working platform from the position, corresponding to the first height, of the hoistway; lifting, by use of a lifting assembly, a jumping platform from a second height to a third height, wherein the third height is greater than the second height and less than or equal to the first height; and lifting, by use of the lifting assembly, the elevator car to extend its traveling distance in the hoistway, and operating, during lifting of the elevator car, on the top of the elevator car for reinforcing the mount of the guide rail.

SENSOR ORIENTATION INDICATOR FOR CONDITION BASED MAINTENANCE (CBM) SENSING
Disclosed is a system for installing a sensor to a passenger conveyance system, wherein the sensor is configured for being positioned on the passenger conveyance system; and an on-board indicator or a mobile device is in communication with the sensor, configured for providing feedback indicative of whether the sensor is aligned to an axis within an alignment tolerance.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INSTALLING ELEVATOR DOOR COMPONENTS
An illustrative example embodiment of a device that facilitates installing at least one elevator door component, includes a detector that is configured to detect at least one reference feature in a vicinity of a desired position of the elevator door component. A processor is configured to use information from the detector to determine the desired position of the elevator door component relative to the at least one detected feature. An indicator is configured to provide at least one indication corresponding to the desired position of the elevator door component.
Method for constructing an elevator system having increasing usable lifting height
A method for constructing at least two elevators in a building under construction adapts the usable lifting heights of the elevators to an increasing height of the building, wherein each of the elevators is arranged in an elevator shaft of the building associated with the elevator and includes a drive platform having an elevator drive machine that supports and drives an elevator car and a counterweight by a traction sheave and at least one flexible suspension device. In order to adapt the usable lifting heights, lifting operations are performed in which in alternation one of the drive platforms is raised to a higher level in the associated elevator shaft and is locked there. A single lifting platform is temporarily fastened above the particular drive platform to be lifted to apply a lifting force required to raise the drive platform, which force is transferred to supporting elements of the elevator shaft.

METHOD FOR AT LEAST PARTIALLY AUTOMATED PLANNING OF AN INSTALLATION OF ELEVATOR COMPONENTS OF AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
An at least partially automated method for planning installation of elevator components in an elevator shaft delimited by shaft walls includes the steps: recording the course of the shaft walls; determining positions of door openings in the shaft; establishing a target course of a guide rail depending on the positions of the openings; and establishing target positions of the elevator components automatedly depending on the established guide rail target course. Adjustable ones of the elevator components have a part fixable to the shaft wall and a part movable in an adjustment range relative to the fixable part. Target positions of the movable parts are established for the adjustable components. An automated check is carried out to determine whether, when the movable part is positioned at the target position, the adjustment range is sufficient to fix the fixable part to the shaft wall and the results are output for further processing.
