A measuring device for measuring an elevator shaft has two cable-like, elongate guide elements that extend in parallel with one another, a measuring platform and a lifting apparatus. Each of the guide elements is fixedly attached to an upper holding point and a lower holding point in the elevator shaft and is tensioned between the upper holding point and the lower holding point. The measuring platform has guide apparatuses that laterally support the measuring platform on the guide elements and guide the measuring platform parallel to the guide elements during a displacement movement in a displacement direction. The measuring platform has a distance measuring apparatus to measure lateral distances to the lateral walls of the elevator shaft. The lifting apparatus moves the measuring platform in the displacement direction.

Movable machine room, elevator arrangement and method for constructing elevator

The invention relates to a movable machine room comprising a support platform of a hoisting machine, the support platform comprising one or more releasable mounting mechanisms for releasably mounting the moveable machine room in a hoistway, and a hoisting machine mounted on the support platform; a working platform on top of the support platform, preferably forming a roof of the moveable machine room and/or comprising handrails; and at least one support structure supported by which the working platform rests on the support platform; and wherein each said support structure is selectively actuatable to expand in vertical direction for hoisting the working platform higher above the support platform taking reaction force from the support platform, or to contract in vertical direction for lowering the working platform back towards the support platform. The invention relates to an arrangement and a method implementing the movable machine room.

RAIL INSTALLATION ASSIST DEVICE, RAIL INSTALLATION ASSIST METHOD, RAIL INSTALLATION ASSIST SYSTEM, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT

A rail installation assist device includes at least control circuitry. The control circuitry is configured to acquire displacement information representing displacement of individual rail brackets and a rail joint from a reference position, the rail brackets that fix guide rails in an elevator shaft, the rail joint that joins the guide rails together; estimate, from the displacement information, a change in the displacement information of the rail brackets and the rail joint when the rail brackets are moved to given target positions; calculate an evaluation value for variation in the displacement information before the change and an evaluation value for variation in the displacement information after the change; and set positions of the rail brackets based on a result of comparison between the evaluation values.

Modular Sills for Elevators and Methods of Assembling the Same

A modular sill assembly includes a top layer, a bottom layer, a first fastener, and a second fastener. The top layer includes a first top plate and a second top plate. The first and second top plates define a door channel therebetween. Each of the first and second top plates includes a top surface, a bottom surface, and a blind bore. The blind bore is defined in the bottom surface and extends towards the top surface. The blind bore is threaded. The bottom layer includes a first base plate that defines a through bore. The first fastener extends through the first base plate and is threadably received in the blind bore of the first top plate to secure the first top plate to the first base plate. The second fastener extends through the first base plate and is threadably received in the blind bore of the second top plate to secure the second top plate to the first base plate.

Aligning device and method for aligning a guide rail of an elevator system by means of force pulses
