PEOPLE MOVER
A people mover includes an endless conveying band and a control system. The control system includes a controller, a detecting arrangement for detecting people on the endless conveying band, and a signaling arrangement for providing visual and/or audio signals to people on the endless conveying band. The controller is configured to: determine based on output of the detecting arrangement, in particular based on signals and/or data generated by the detecting arrangement, whether a distance between detected people on the endless conveying band is below a minimum allowed distance; and present to people on the endless conveying band with a signaling arrangement alarm or instruction signals when a distance between detected people on the endless conveying band is below a minimum allowed distance.
ESCALATOR OR MOVING WALKWAY HAVING AN ILLUMINATING DEVICE FOR ILLUMINATING A TRANSITION REGION
The disclosure relates to a passenger transport system in the form of an escalator or a moving walkway. The system can include a stationary access region, a transport belt made up of a plurality of tread units, a transition region in which combing structures of the transport belt adjoin static comb structures of the access region, and an illuminating device having at least one light source for emitting light in the visible spectrum. The illuminating device can be configured such that at least a first portion of the light emitted is focused to predominantly illuminate an elongate transition surface which includes the transition region.
ELEVATOR AND ESCALATOR CONTROL NETWORK MANAGEMENT
A user interface shows status of network elements in an infrastructure network. The network elements are used to provide a communication channel for elevators, escalators and similar. In addition to network elements status of peripheral devices and other elevator and escalator related network connected devices may be shown. The user interface showing the status of network elements and other devices provides the maintenance person an easy way of spotting possible sources of problems.
Diagnostic system
According to one embodiment, a diagnostic system includes a conveyor device first and second sensors and a diagnostic device. The conveyor device includes an endless chain having a plurality of rollers coupled at regular pitches and each fit into a bush, to circularly move between a first sprocket and a second sprocket. The first and second sensors diagonally are disposed apart from each other on a moving path of the chain, irrespective of an operating direction of the conveyor device, to detect a passage of each of the rollers of the chain. The diagnostic device measures an amount of elongation of the chain based on a first detection signal output from the first sensor and a second detection signal output from the second sensor according to movement of the chain during operation of the conveyor device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING AN ESCALATOR
The present invention discloses an integrated test system and method for an escalator, the escalator comprises a control cabinet and a motor. The test system comprises a driver connected in series between the control cabinet and the motor for driving the escalator to simulate overspeed or unintentional reversal faults, a sensor mounted on a step or escalator handrail belt of the escalator for obtaining quantitative speed signals, and an operation device connected to the driver and the sensor for controlling the driver for different detection items and processing and displaying the speed signals. With the test system and method described herein, the defects of non-universal, unintuitive and non-quantitative nature, and low accuracy in the existing art are overcome. The test system of the invention is capable of discovering a lot of hidden dangers of accidents and even system risks which are difficult to be found by the existing art.
