The invention relates to a transportation system in an environment comprising several people conveyors as well as a navigation system installed on mobile devices held by the passengers of the transportation system, which transportation system comprises at least one wireless transmission device in connection with at least one of the passenger conveyors, wherein the navigation system comprises a calibration routine for generating a reference position of the mobile device in the environment, and the calibration routine can be initiated, if the distance of the mobile device to the wireless transmission device goes below a threshold value, in which calibration routine the wireless transmission device transfers position and/or identification data to the mobile device, whereupon the navigation system on the mobile device adopts the reference position of the related passenger conveyor.

A passenger conveyor lifting device lifts a unit that includes a frame body constituting at least one lengthwise direction part of a main frame of a passenger conveyor, and a unit device supported by the frame body. The lifting device includes a lifting attachment fitting and a lifting rope. A passenger transport system and a method of operating the same are described. The passenger transport system includes a passenger conveying device, a control unit for controlling an operation of the passenger conveying device, and a disinfecting device for disinfecting a surface to be disinfected on the passenger conveying device. The disinfecting device includes a controller for controlling an operation of the disinfecting device. The control unit of the passenger transport system and the controller of the disinfection device are adapted in such a manner that status signals, which reflect information about a current operation, a current state, and/or a current configuration of the disinfection device, are sent from the controller to the control unit, and the control unit generates control signals taking into account received status signals and transmits them to the controller, wherein the controller controls the operation of the disinfection device taking into account received control signals.

The passenger transport system has two access regions and a conveyance region, each of the two access regions having a walking-accessible surface. At least one of the walking-accessible regions is provided with a guide device for guiding and channeling users with different needs, wherein the guide device comprises tactile elements whose planar arrangement in the access region divides the walking-accessible surface into a first corridor with tactile elements and a second corridor without tactile elements.
