Regenerative power capture system for endless track escalators and moving walkways
Power is recovered from an escalator or a moving walkway as the step orbits an endless track on rollers. A generator is connected to a roller orbiting the track. A battery backup is provided. The power is used for emergency lighting on the step, and for data transmission. Advertising and messages are displayed on a dynamic video screen mounted on the step. The apparatus is mostly contained within the escalator step. Information is communicated wirelessly to a remotely located central control station and back to the step, so as to display information in real time and to update advertising while the escalator is in operation. The central control station also monitors performance parameters. The visual display can include LED lighting.

The chain stretch detection device is configured to detect a stretch of a chain in a power transmission device. The power transmission device includes: a driving sprocket; a driven sprocket; and a chain, which is wound around the driving sprocket and the driven sprocket, and is configured to transmit power of the driving sprocket to the driven sprocket. The chain stretch detection device includes: a meshing height measurement device configured to measure meshing heights of the chain in a range in which the driven sprocket meshes with and the chain; and a signal processing device configured to determine a height difference between adjacent rollers in the chain through use of signals acquired by the meshing height measurement device and estimate an amount of the stretch of the chain based on the determined height difference.

The chain stretch detection device is configured to detect a stretch of a chain in a power transmission device. The power transmission device includes: a driving sprocket; a driven sprocket; and a chain, which is wound around the driving sprocket and the driven sprocket, and is configured to transmit power of the driving sprocket to the driven sprocket. The chain stretch detection device includes: a meshing height measurement device configured to measure meshing heights of the chain in a range in which the driven sprocket meshes with and the chain; and a signal processing device configured to determine a height difference between adjacent rollers in the chain through use of signals acquired by the meshing height measurement device and estimate an amount of the stretch of the chain based on the determined height difference.

The lifting attachment fitting includes a pair of attachment bases attached detachably to respective upper surfaces of a pair of side frame portions constituting respective width direction end portions of the frame body, and a reinforcing member connecting the pair of attachment bases above the unit device disposed between the pair of side frame portions. The lifting rope lifts the unit while hooked to the respective side frame portions.

A passenger conveyor lifting device lifts a unit that includes a frame body constituting at least one lengthwise direction part of a main frame of a passenger conveyor, and a unit device supported by the frame body. PASSENGER-CONVEYOR STEP-CHAIN MONITORING SYSTEM
Provided is a passenger-conveyor step-chain monitoring system capable of monitoring elongation of a step chain without adding a special device. The passenger-conveyor step-chain monitoring system includes a monitoring unit configured to monitor elongation of a step chain attached to a step of a passenger conveyor based on a result of detecting the step by a sensor provided to detect an absence of the step. With this configuration, it is possible to monitor elongation of the step chain without adding a special device.
