Engine hoist attachment assembly
11434108 · 2022-09-06 ·

An engine hoist attachment assembly for hoisting a vehicle component includes a tube, a bar, and a pair of rods. The tube has a first end that is configured to slidably insert a terminus of a boom of an engine hoist to removably couple the tube to the boom. The bar has a back face that is coupled to and extends bidirectionally and perpendicularly from a second end of the tube so that the bar is substantially parallel to a surface upon which the engine hoist is positioned. The pair of rods is coupled to and extends in parallel from a front face of the bar. The rods are configured to position under a vehicle component, positioning a user to utilize the engine hoist to selectively lift and lower the vehicle component.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LIFTING AN OBJECT FROM A DECK OF A VESSEL SUBJECT TO MOVEMENTS
20210276668 · 2021-09-09 ·

Described is a device for lifting an object from a deck of a vessel subject to movements in a heave direction. The device comprises a support surface (6a) for the object provided at a first height (11) in the heave direction relative to the deck. A lifting crane (5) is configured to take up the object from the support surface (6a) at a lifting point thereof at a lifting speed. An actuator system (16) is configured to lower the support surface (6a) relative to the deck at the instant in time at which the object is lifted from the surface to a second height in the heave direction at a lowering speed. A method using the device is also described.

Mechanically intelligent end-of-arm tool

A mechanically intelligent end-of-arm tool includes a valve that is actuated by the action of the arm, such that a force applied to the object to be grasped opens the valve to expose a suction cup to the vacuum pressure. A spool valve, poppet valve, and butterfly valve, et al., can perform the valve function. The tool may include a button that has a rigid contact surface or may be deformable to provide a smoothing force to the object.

Docking and undocking payloads from mobile robots

In one embodiment, a mobile robot energizes its state-variable anchor into a released state while contacting a payload, and then de-energizes it to put it into an anchored state, attaching it to the payload. The mobile robot may then move the payload to a mounting location while the state-variable anchor is de-energized and attached to the payload. As such, the mobile robot may then energize a state-variable anchor of the payload to put it into a released state while at and contacting the mounting location, and then de-energizes it to put it into an anchored state to attach the payload to the mounting location. To then detach the state-variable anchor of the mobile robot and the mobile robot from the payload after the payload is attached to the mounting location, the mobile robot may then energize the state-variable anchor of the mobile robot to put it into a released state.

Drum-type conveying installation with cable-monitoring device
10974935 · 2021-04-13 · ·

A single-cable drum-type conveying installation with a cable drum driven by a winch drive, includes a cable-monitoring device, a conveying device, which hangs freely on a conveying cable, and an intermediate harness connecting the conveying cable to the conveying device. The cable-monitoring device includes a load-measuring pin, as a constituent part of the intermediate harness, and also a transmission path along which a measuring signal received from the load-measuring pin is transmitted to an evaluation device. The evaluation device is designed for evaluating the measuring signal such that, in the case of the measuring signal jumping by an extent which exceeds a certain amount, a malfunction is detected.
