TRANSPORT DEVICE
20170323817 · 2017-11-09 ·

A transport device is capable of reliably determining a presence or absence of a lid provided on a container and/or determining detachment of the lid, with a simple configuration. The transport device transports a container that includes a lid on a side surface. The transport device includes a lid fall preventive member disposed so as to face an upper end of the lid of the container located in a transport position, and a lid detector that is disposed in the lid fall preventive member and detects the presence or absence of the upper end of the lid.

INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION TERMINAL CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD

An intermodal terminal control system determines characteristics of cargo containers scheduled for receipt into and/or travel out of an intermodal terminal connected with both rail routes and automobile routes, determines characteristics of cargo handling equipment within the intermodal terminal, determines characteristics of rail vehicles scheduled for one or more of entry into or travel out of the intermodal terminal, and determines characteristics of automobile vehicles scheduled for entry into or travel out of the intermodal terminal. The system also determines constraints on cargo handling operations and a plan for the cargo handling equipment to transfer the cargo containers between the different modes of transportation within the intermodal terminal. The plan designates a sequence of operations to be performed in moving the cargo containers with the cargo handling equipment. The plan is based on the characteristics of the cargo containers, the cargo handling equipment, the rail vehicles, and the automobile vehicles.

Jacking tower installation system

A jacking tower installation system comprises a jacking tower having at least two forward and at least two rear legs, wherein each of the legs is supported on one of a plurality of support stands attached to and horizontally offset from the leg, the legs including dollies which enable horizontal movement of the jacking tower and lifts capable of raising and lowering the jacking tower clear of the sill beams of a cargo container crane, such that the legs of the jacking tower can be lifted and positioned over and lowered onto the sill beams.

SERVICING A NUCLEAR REACTOR MODULE

A system for servicing a nuclear reactor module comprises a crane operable to attach to the nuclear reactor module, wherein the crane includes provisions for routing signals from one or more sensors of the nuclear reactor module to one or more sensor receivers.

HOIST TOOL FOR HANDLING A SHRINK ELEMENT OF A GEAR SYSTEM
20170253466 · 2017-09-07 · ·

A hoist tool for handling a shrink element of a gear system. The hoist tool includes a suspension section, support legs for leaning on a foundation structure of the gear system and for supporting the suspension section to be above the shrink element, a lift sling for surrounding the shrink element, and a force generating system between the suspension section and the lift sling and suitable for generating a lifting force on the lift sling so as to suspend the shrink element. During maintenance of the gear system, the weight of the shrink element can be compensated for with the hoist tool and therefore crane capacity is needed for compensating for only the rest of the weight of the gear system without the weight of the shrink element.

AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

The present invention relates to automated storage and retrieval system comprising: a track system comprising a first set of parallel tracks arranged in a horizontal plane and extending in a first direction, and a second set of parallel tracks arranged in the horizontal plane and extending in a second direction which is orthogonal to the first direction, which first and second sets of tracks form a grid pattern in the horizontal plane comprising a plurality of adjacent grid cells, each comprising a grid opening defined by a pair of adjacent tracks of the first set of tracks and a pair of adjacent tracks of the second set of tracks; a plurality of stacks of storage containers arranged in storage columns located beneath the track system, wherein each storage column is located vertically below a grid opening; a plurality of container handling vehicles for lifting and moving storage containers stacked in the stacks, the container handling vehicles being configured to move laterally on the track system above the storage columns to access the storage containers via the grid openings, wherein each of the plurality of container handling vehicles has a footprint with a horizontal extension which is equal to or less than the horizontal extension of a grid cell and comprises: a wheel assembly for guiding the container handling vehicle along the track system and a container-receiving storage space arranged within the footprint of the container handling vehicle for accommodating a storage container. Each container handling vehicle comprises a protruding section which extends horizontally beyond the footprint of the container handling vehicle and, when the container handling vehicle is positioned above a grid cell, into a neighbouring grid cell.

The present invention also relates to a container handling vehicle for such an automated storage and retrieval system.
