Provided herein is a electronically-controlled wheelchair securement system with a winch apparatus that is adapted for pulling and steering a mobility device (e.g., wheelchair, scooter, stretcher, etc.) up and down the ramp of a rear-entry wheelchair accessible vehicle and for providing securement for the mobility device during transport. The system includes two motorized front tie-down units adapted to be positioned in the vehicle at the front of the wheelchair securement area. The front tie-down units have extendable/retractable restraints adapted to connect to the front corners of the mobility device frame. By varying the motor speed between the two front tie-down units, the mobility device can be steered up the ramp. For example, when pulling the mobility device up the ramp, the mobility device can be directed to the left by increasing the speed of the right tie-down unit, slowing the speed of the left tie-down unit, or both. Similarly, the mobility device can be directed to the right by increasing the speed of the left tie-down unit, slowing the speed of the right tie-down unit, or both. Similar adjustments can be made to the speeds of the motors when the mobility device is being directed down the ramp.

The present invention relates to a user interface for a portable power driven system, specifically in relation to an integrated user interface for controlling such an arrangement, and being applicable for example in relation to an ascender/descender arrangement. The invention also relates to a corresponding method and computer program product for operating such a portable power driven system.

Linear driving device with load dependent clamping capability

A linear driving device with load dependent clamping capability with a reference driving element and a moveable driving element. The linear driving device being arranged for driving an elongated element located between the reference driving element and the moveable driving element at least one of which is powered to apply an axial force (Fa) and a clamping force (Fc) to the elongated element to drive it. The device includes at least one pivoting lever attached to the reference driving element by a first rotation axis and to the moveable driving element by a second rotation axis. When the elongated element is driven, the at least one pivoting lever is arranged so that the magnitude of the clamping force (Fc) depends on a predetermined angle (a) defined between a perpendicular direction to the axial force (Fa) and a reaction force passing through the first and second rotations axes.

A winch mounting system includes a truck that has a bed. A mounting unit is removably coupled to the bed. The mounting unit has a slidably adjustable width such that the mounting unit accommodates a variety of widths of the bed. A winch is selectively coupled to the mounting unit such that the winch is positioned in the bed. A button is coupled to the mounting member and the button may be manipulated. The button is electrically coupled to the truck. The button is electrically coupled to the winch such that the button turns the winch on and off.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVING EQUIPMENT PARTS FROM A PLATFORM OF A WIND TURBINE GENERATOR, AND METHOD FOR FILLING A FUEL TANK ON SAID PLATFORM

A power pack is located within a housing on the platform of a wind turbine generator tower. The power pack is supplied from a fuel tank. With the door of the housing open, the power pack may be removed for servicing and repair by using a U-shaped support structure to which an electric motor is mounted. Two support rails permanently located within the housing support the housed power pack. A chain attached to the power pack is driven by the motor to remove the power pack from the housing by sliding the power pack along the support structure. A pulley arrangement reduces the necessary torque. After removing the power pack from the housing, a crane is used to lift the power pack from the platform and to lower it down to a sea vessel. The crane may also be used in the refilling of the fuel tank by hauling a fuel line from a sea vessel up to the platform and connecting it to the fuel tank.

Conveyor apparatus

A conveyor apparatus (2), so-called injector head, to enable feeding of e.g. continuous tubing (7) or coiled tubing through the conveyor apparatus (2) to or from a wellhead and a well below and related to use of well tools. A pair of oppositely located, co-operatively movable, segmented continuous belts (28; 29) are installed in an apparatus frame (21), each belt comprising a plurality of interconnected gripper shoe carriers (30) carried and movable by means of a pair of continuous belt drive chains (31; 32), wherein the carrier (30) has roller means (35) configured roll against an elongate counter-force member (37), a so-called skate, associated with the frame (21), wherein a gripper shoe (38; 52) is co-operative with each carrier (30) to positively engage the tubing (7), and wherein a pair of said counter-force members (37) being adapted to interact with a respective belt (28; 29). The counter-force member (37) has an elongate part (37′) and integral therewith a plurality of pairs of substantially V-shaped elements (37″) extending with their V-legs (37′″) laterally from oppositely located side edges of the elongate part (37′) towards an apex (37″″) of the V-shaped element.
