Manhole guard and attachable winch mount
A manhole guard, methods of assembling the same, and methods of using the same, are described. The manhole guard generally includes a plurality of sections connected for movement, the sections being capable of being locked into a fixed rigid structure through the use of a first arm and second arm that act independently of each other. The manhole guard may include a safety net attached to one or more sections of the manhole guard. The manhole guard may include attachable mounting brackets designed to facilitate the attachment of a first hoist device and/or first winch and include attachable mounting members designed to facilitate the attachment of a second hoist device and/or second winch.
Anchoring platform for captive lighter-than-air aircraft
An anchoring platform is disclosed for captive aircraft that addresses problems when handling captive aerostats, including excessive workload required to switch between flying and anchored states. The anchoring platform includes an anchoring device. Cords, together with a confluence point, are wound into the anchoring device, by the winch. The structure for anchoring the captive aircraft is the cradle which bears the aerostat, while the winch exerts tension to hold same static in the structure.
Apparatus for remotely lifting a buried explosive device
An apparatus for lifting a buried explosive device includes a T-shaped base including a flange member and a web member. The web member has one end fixed at a right angle to the midpoint of the flange member. A vertical upright member is fixed at one end to the midpoint of the flange member. A diagonal member is fixed at one end to the other end of the vertical upright member and fixed at another end to a second end of the web member that is distal the flange member. The vertical upright member is at least twice a length of the web member. The flange member, the web member, the vertical upright member and the diagonal member are L-channel members made of carbon fiber.
CHAMBER LID TOOL
A manhole cover tool useful in unsealing and moving a manhole cover over a predetermined distance along a surface, including: i) A handle end; accommodating an operator; ii) A fulcrum end distant the handle end; suitable for engagement and stabilizing the tool on the surface; iii) A rod of a predetermined length for connecting the handle end t o the fulcrum end; iv) A manhole cover engagement rod of a predetermined length having a first end and a second end; the first end connected to the rod, and said second end being a manhole cover engagement tool.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LAUNCHING AND RECOVERING A REMOTE INSPECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatus for launch and recovery of a remote inspection device within a liquid storage tank. In one embodiment, the tank is accessed by opening an entrance hatch and then injecting a vapor suppression foam across a surface of a stored liquid mass to form a foam layer. A launching system having a remote inspection device is attached to the entrance hatch to define a launch and recovery space sealed from an external environment and isolated from the stored liquid mass in the tank via a valve and the foam layer. The launch and recovery space is purged of hazardous vapors by injection of an inert gas prior to launch and recovery of the remote inspection device. Prior to removal of the launching system, the surface of the stored liquid mass is re-coated with vapor suppression foam.
OPERATION UNIT OF LOAD HANDLING DEVICE
An operation unit includes a lever shaft having an operating lever at one end thereof and orthogonal to the operating lever, a plate with a flange having a bearing of the lever shaft, the other end-side of the lever shaft being arranged with penetrating the plate with a flange from a front surface thereof, a rotation restraint part for the lever shaft fixed to the lever shaft behind the plate with a flange and having a self-return function of forward and reverse rotations of the lever shaft, a cover with a flange covered on a backside of the plate with a flange in a form of sandwiching the rotation restraint part, a tip end-side of the lever shaft penetrating the cover with a flange via a bearing, and a potentiometer provided on a backside of the cover with a flange, rotation of the lever shaft being transmitted to the potentiometer.
Underwater Object Retrieval Device
An underwater object retrieval device for selective deployment to retrieve underwater objects includes an inflation unit that is configured to inflate upon command. A coupler is configured for coupling to an object to be placed underwater. A tether line has a first end, which is coupled to the inflation unit, and a second end, which is coupled to the coupler. A line storage unit is coupled to the tether line proximate to the second end. The line storage unit is positioned to house the tether line, such that the tether line is extensible from the line storage unit. The inflation unit is positioned to inflate upon user directed command, such that the inflation unit is buoyant. The tether line is extended from the line storage unit, such that the inflation unit reaches the water surface. The tether line is configured for retrieving the object to the surface.
AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
Provided is a method for delivering goods in collaboration of a plurality of autonomous vehicles including a master vehicle and one or more slave vehicles. The method comprises calculating, by the master vehicle among the plurality of autonomous vehicles, a floor area required for unloading the goods based on a size of the goods, searching and determining, by the master vehicle, a region providing a flat area greater than or equal to the floor area as a goods handing over point, providing, by the master vehicle, position information of the goods handing over point to the one or more slave vehicles so that the one or more slave vehicles are gathered to the goods handing over point, providing, by the master vehicle, the position information of the goods handing over point to an unmanned aerial vehicle so that the unmanned aerial vehicle moves to the goods handing over point, determining, by the master vehicle, a portion of the goods to be supported by each autonomous vehicle based on a size of delivery target goods, moving, by each autonomous vehicle located at the goods handing over point, to a position corresponding to the determined portion, taking over the goods from the unmanned aerial vehicle and loading them together by collaborating with each autonomous vehicle at the moved position, and delivering the loaded goods to a destination by the plurality of autonomous vehicles.
