A lid and strainer basket assembly for use in a recirculating system of a swimming pool installation including a swimming pool and a deck, the recirculating system having a skimmer device extending downwardly from an opening proximate to the deck and coupled to a pump for recirculating the water in the swimming pool, the lid and strainer basket assembly including a removable lid closing the opening, a strainer basket in the skimmer device for collecting debris from the water, and an assembly of straps coupling the removable lid to the strainer basket, the straps being both sufficiently flexible and slacked between the lid and the strainer basket to enable the lid to be removed from the opening and tipped to one side to enable visual inspection of the strainer basket in the skimmer device without interference from the straps and without disturbing the strainer basket.

The system includes a body, an upper brake pad coupled to the body and configured to contact a side of a flange of the beam and a lower brake pad coupled to the body and configured to contact an opposing side of the flange, and an actuator coupled to at least one of the brake pads and configured to move the brake pads between a gripping position that grips the flange and an open position that spaces one of the brake pads away from the flange.

The apparatus comprises one or more bodies of liquid, collapsible liquid-displacement displacement vessel, and lifting force transfer means to the object, in use, the weight of the object to be lifted is secured onto the lifting platform and leveraged by the force transfer means to draw gas into the displacement vessel. Once the displacement vessel is full of gas, it will reverse the force transfer means to lift the object to the top of the liquid. Once the lifted object is secured at the elevated position, a gas release valve releases the gas and the displacement vessel collapses and sinks back down to the bottom of the liquid and the process can be repeated as necessary.
