CONTAINER-HANDLING APPARATUS
A container-handling apparatus, in particular a filling machine for filling cans or similar containers with liquid contents, has a first transporter for a container infeed, a downstream rotor with a plurality of handling positions for handling the containers, and a second transporter downstream of the rotor and forming a container outfeed. The second transporter is a chain conveyor with at least one guide finger having first and second guide portion, which receives the as yet unsealed containers and guides them by the first guide portion initially along a first, at least partially curved transport path portion, continuously in contact with a guide rail, before the second guide portion of the guide finger then conveys the container on a straight, second transport path portion along the container treatment path.
Rotating handling carousel having collision avoidance control
A rotating handling carousel includes a transfer device arranged on the outer circumference of the handling carousel. The transfer device includes a carry-along element which receives and transports an article and a guide element. The guide element is arranged in such a way that the article transported by the carry-along element is guided into or out of a handling station, for which the guide element extends into an area of the handling station in such a way that the guide element does not collide with the handling device at the transfer position. A sensor detects whether a handling device or the article are not in the transfer position, and/or whether the article is located in the handling station at all, and, after such a determination, issues a collision signal based on a kind of the transfer device.
CLEANING, FILLING, AND CAPPING CONTAINERS
Systems and methods for filling and sealing a container can include a housing having an opening for receiving containers, a rotary assembly including mount assemblies disposed in the housing, the rotary assembly operable to rotate the of mount assemblies about a central axis, a washing station, a filling station, a steam injector, and cap setter disposed in the housing.
METHOD OF HANDLING A PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A MOVEABLE BASE
A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish defining an opening into the container, a lower portion including a base defining a standing surface, a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion, the sidewall defining a longitudinal axis, and at least one substantially transversely-oriented pressure panel located in the lower portion. The pressure panel is movable between an outwardly-inclined position and an inwardly-inclined position to compensate for a change of pressure inside the container. The standing surface defines a standing plane, and the entire pressure panel is located between the standing plane and the upper portion of the container when the pressure panel is in the outwardly-inclined position.
BEARING ARRANGEMENT FOR THE MOUNTING OF A CONTAINER PROCESSING CAROUSEL WITH RESPECT TO A BASE FRAME OF A CONTAINER PROCESSING APPARATUS IN A BEVERAGE FILLING INSTALLATION
A bearing arrangement for the mounting of a container processing carousel with respect to a base frame of a container processing apparatus in a beverage filling installation, comprising including a bearing shaft which extends along a longitudinal axis, a bearing cup which is rotatable relative to the bearing shaft, an adjusted bearing assembly, arranged between the bearing shaft and the bearing cup, for the mounting of the bearing cup with respect to the bearing shaft, and a ring-shaped preload unit for imparting a specified preload to the adjusted bearing assembly, wherein the ring-shaped preload unit includes a multiplicity of spring assemblies, which are distributed uniformly in a circumferential direction about the longitudinal axis, for applying the preload to the adjusted bearing assembly. A container processing apparatus including the bearing arrangement, and a method for preloading an adjusted bearing assembly of the bearing arrangement are described.
Aseptic filling machine and aseptic filling method
An aseptic filling machine and an aseptic filling method are provided with which a petaloid-shape bottle or an unstable bottle is filled with sterilized content and sealed with a sterilized cap in an aseptic atmosphere is discharged without a delay from an aseptic zone to a non-aseptic zone and even if the petaloid-shape bottle or the unstable bottle falls over on a discharging conveyor when being discharged from the aseptic zone to the non-aseptic zone, a stopping time of the aseptic filling machine is shortened by providing a barrier chamber into which air containing a gas of a sterilizer is supplied and a discharge portion chamber that shields discharge portions that are provided downstream of the sealing portion that fills the content into the bottle and seals the bottle with the cap.
Flexible plant for treating containers
Provided is a device for treating containers, comprising a heating device for heating plastic preforms, wherein the heating device has a plurality of heating stations which are suitable for individually heating the plastic preforms, and wherein the heating device has a transport device which transports the plastic preforms individually through the heating device, and comprising a reshaping device which is suitable and intended for reshaping the plastic preforms heated by the heating device into plastic containers. This reshaping device is arranged downstream of the heating device in the transport direction of the plastic preforms, and the reshaping device has a movable support, on which a plurality of reshaping stations are arranged for reshaping the plastic preforms into the plastic containers. The device also comprises a transport device, for transporting the heated plastic preforms individually from the heating device to the reshaping device, and a decorating device.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER ASSEMBLY FOR HOLDING A BEVERAGE
The present invention relates to a beverage container assembly for holding a beverage. The assembly comprises an outer container defining a body portion and a cylindrical neck portion. The cylindrical neck portion defines a rim located opposite the body portion. The beverage container assembly further comprises an inner bag positioned within the outer container and defining a pressure space inside the inner bag and a beverage space between the inner bag and the outer container. The beverage space is filled by beverage and the inner bag initially defines a folded state. By subjecting the inner bag) to a pressure fluid it is capable of expanding into an unfolded state in which the pressure space at least partially substitutes the beverage space. Both the inner bag and the neck portion are sealed off by a cap at a location between the rim and the body portion.

Methods of compensating for vacuum pressure changes within a plastic container
A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish adapted to receive a closure, a lower portion including a base, and a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion. The upper portion, the lower portion, and the sidewall define an interior volume for storing liquid contents. The plastic container further comprises a pressure panel located on the container and moveable between an initial position and an activated position. The pressure panel is located in the initial position prior to filling the container, and is moved to the activated position after filling and sealing the container. Moving the pressure panel from the initial position to the activated position reduces the internal volume of the container and creates a positive pressure inside the container. The positive pressure reinforces the sidewall. A method of processing a container is also disclosed.
