The invention relates to a tapping device for at least one bag-in-carton package equipped with a tapping valve. The tapping device has a housing for receiving the bag-in-carton package and an actuating unit which corresponds with the tapping valve and which has a valve-receiving bearing and at least one actuating portion for actuating the tapping valve. The actuating portion is articulated on the valve-receiving bearing by a pivot pin, has an upwardly directed lever arm and is arranged completely within the housing. Upstream of a contact region which is situated above the pivot pin on the lever arm there is arranged an actuating portion which engages through the housing and acts on the lever arm in the contact region in order to actuate the tapping valve by way of the actuating portion and can be actuated manually from outside the housing. The invention further relates to the actuating unit and to a cassette for the tapping device.

The system includes a cap configured to be mounted to the spout. The cap includes an opening that leads to a membrane and a first retention mechanism located in the opening. The system includes a piercing tube having a first end configured to puncture the membrane and a second end configured to be connected to a dispensing tube. The piercing tube includes a seal bead and a second retention mechanism. The piercing tube is inserted into the opening of the cap such that the first end punctures the membrane, the first and second retention mechanisms engage each other to retain the piercing tube in the cap, and the seal bead sealingly engages the cap.

The first flexible coupling and the second flexible coupling each being formed from a base web and extending from the lower end of the body. A first arm is coupled to the base web at a first hinge. A second arm is coupled to the first arm opposite the base web at a central hinge. The plug is coupled to the second arm opposite the first arm at a plug hinge. A probe is likewise disclosed that is insertable into a flexible bag, as is a flexible bag assembly and method.

Exemplary embodiments are generally directed to beverage chillers for chilling a hot beverage so that the hot beverage can be served as a chilled beverage in real time on demand fashion. The beverage chillers include a beverage collection section, a heat exchanger section, and a dispensing section fluidically connected relative to each other. The beverage collection section receives a beverage in a hot state. The heat exchanger section chills the beverage from the hot state to a predetermined chilled temperature. The dispensing section dispenses the beverage at or near the predetermined chilled temperature. Exemplary embodiments are also directed to methods and systems for chilling a hot beverage in real time on demand fashion.

The dispenser and measuring cap has one or more measuring chamber ducts, each having a different predetermined volume. The measuring chamber ducts are selectively and separately operationally aligned with an internal funnel stem and a dispensing spout. A selected measuring chamber duct is filled with the substance by inverting the cap and attached container. A measured amount of the substance is captured and dispensed, and the unused portion of the substance retained in the storage container without exposure to outside contaminants or implements, by rotating the duct into operational alignment with the spout.
