Protective articles for horses
A protective article for a horse includes a protective member and a replaceable securing member. The protective member includes a body portion extending between a pair of opposing ends and dimensioned to be wrapped around and secured to a horse's body part, and further includes a first engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent one end, and a second engagement member coupled to the body portion adjacent the other end. The replaceable securing member is adapted to be selectively engaged with the engagement members in a manner that urges the engagement members towards one another. The replaceable securing member includes a first securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the first engagement member, and a second securing assembly adapted to be manually reversibly secured to the second engagement member, the first securing assembly securing to the first engagement member independently of the second securing assembly.

Protection Apparatus And Method
Exemplary embodiments herein describe accessory equipment for equestrian applications, and in particular a flexible protective wrap or boot for supporting and protecting the upper and lower leg of a horse, including the fetlock joint. When wrapped or fastened to a horse limb, the exemplary wrap can impact strength, friction surfaces, elongation, porosity, compression, breathability, water and moisture evaporation, elasticity, absorbency and cushioning. The wrapping structure may include improved limb support, general limb protection, and treatment for swollen legs, fetlock and pastern. Embodiments described herein may include limb protection in general and particularly during trailering and long transit in motor vehicles and trailers, cellulitis treatment, and providing compression that does not disrupt lymphatic flow and blood circulation when wrapping is applied.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INHIBITING MELATONIN SYNTHESIS IN A HORSE
An apparatus for inhibiting melatonin synthesis in a horse comprises a blinker having an internal surface of which at least a part is diffusing. A source of light is positioned for direction into the horse's eye by the diffusing-surface. The light source and diffusing surface are configured such that the light directed into the horse's eye is blue.

Equine support boot with v-shaped sling strap
An embodiment of the disclosed equine support boot comprises a base portion, at least one upper strap, and a v-shaped sling strap attached to a top section of the base portion, the sling strap being configured to pull the fetlock joint towards the attachment point to apply an upward force on the leg thus decreasing tensile stress in a localized area. In this embodiment, the disclosed equine support boot represents an improvement over known equine support boots because in known boots, sling straps rap horizontally around the horse's leg and thus do not provide an upward vertical force on the fetlock joint of the horse's leg. The use of a v-shaped sling strap in embodiments of the disclosed boot enables the straps themselves to apply an upward force toward the attachment point of the v-shaped strap when the boot is mounted on the horse's leg.

SUPPORT DEVICE FOR QUADRUPEDS
A compression wrap garment integrally knit with variable or uniform compression areas for quadruped support, protection from further injury and post-surgical support. The compression wrap garments and embodiments can be used in concert with existing modified garments, encircling the forelegs and or hind legs and torso, if necessary, of a quadruped to provide support, rest, surface guarding, and tension to animals suffering from degenerative, surface, or deep spinal diseases including or excluding extremity trauma. The variable compression may be graded or independently distributed in a continuous nor non-continuous manner.
ANIMAL FLY MASK
A fly mask for an animal hat has a first section formed of a first material and a second section formed of a second material that is at least partially elastic. The first and second section are coupled to one another to fit at least partially around the head of an animal and the elastic material deforms to allow the mask to accommodate many different configurations.
