CHEMICAL SEQUESTERING OF CO2, NOx and SO2
The disclosure provides seven integrated methods for the chemical sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2), nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO.sub.2) (collectively NO.sub.2, where x=1, 2) and sulfur dioxide (SO.sub.2) using closed loop technology. The methods recycle process reagents and mass balance consumable reagents that can be made using electrochemical separation of sodium chloride (NaCl) or potassium chloride (KCl). The technology applies to marine and terrestrial exhaust gas sources for CO.sub.2, NO.sub.x and SO.sub.2. The integrated technology combines compatible and green processes that capture and/or convert CO.sub.2, NO.sub.x and SO.sub.2 into compounds that enhance the environment, many with commercial value.

HEXAFLUOROPHOSPHATE, PHOSPHORUS PENTAFLUORIDE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Disclosed are a hexafluorophosphate, phosphorus pentafluoride, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The preparation method for the hexafluorophosphate comprises the following steps: mixing a phosphoric acid solution of phosphorus pentoxide, sulfur trioxide and a fluoride in an inert gas atmosphere, sequentially performing evaporation concentration, dissolution, filtration and drying after the reaction, and obtaining the hexafluorophosphate. The method for preparing phosphorus pentafluoride from the hexafluorophosphate obtained by the preparation method provided by the present application comprises the following steps: mixing the hexafluorophosphate and a catalyst solution, carrying out catalytic reaction, and sequentially performing condensation, pressurized liquefaction and adsorption-based impurity removal, and obtaining phosphorus pentafluoride. The present application does not use phosphorus pentafluoride as a raw material to prepare the hexafluorophosphate, and does not use hydrogen fluoride as a raw material to produce phosphorus pentafluoride, thereby reducing risk related to production safety. Meanwhile, widely available chemical reagents of phosphorus pentoxide and sulfur trioxide are used as raw materials, thereby reducing the raw material cost and facilitating large-scale industrial production.
Metal-organic framework electrodes for sodium ion batteries
A sodium ion battery comprises a cathode having a porous redox active metal-organic framework material. The battery can be an organic electrolyte sodium ion battery wherein the electrolyte comprises a sodium salt dissolved in an organic solvent or mixture of organic solvents. Alternatively, the battery can comprise an aqueous sodium ion battery wherein the electrolyte comprises a sodium salt dissolved in an aqueous solvent. Battery performance is especially related to electrolyte and binder selection.
Fluorinating agent
An object of the present invention is to provide a novel substance that has a high reactivity as a fluorinating agent, is effectively used in various fluorination reactions, and is safely handled even in air. As the solution for achieving this object, the present invention provides a complex obtained by reacting bromine trifluoride with at least one metal halide selected from the group consisting of halogenated metals and halogenated hydrogen metals in a nonpolar solvent. This complex serves as a fluorinating agent that provides excellent fluorination performance and that is stable in air.
