CONVEYOR SPRAY SYSTEM WITH WEIGHT CONTROL
A spray system for applying an amount of a liquid to a material that is a function of the unit weight of the material as the material is moving via a conveyor system, the spray system includes a spray nozzle oriented to discharge liquid on the material being conveyed. A weight measurement system includes a first sensor and a second sensor. A programmable logic controller (PLC) configured to determine a total volume of material conveyed per a unit of time and determine a weight of the material being conveyed per the unit of time using a bulk density of the material being conveyed. A spray configured to vary a cycle of actuation of the spray nozzle between the closed and open positions to discharge a desired amount of the liquid based on the weight per unit time of the material being conveyed.
HIGH SPECIFIC MECHANICAL ENERGY EXTRUSION SCREW ASSEMBLY
High Specific Mechanical Energy extruder screw assemblies (14, 88, 98) and complete extruders (10, 86, 96) are provided, which include wide-flight intermediate screw sections (104) having axial flight widths greater than the flight widths of the inlet and outlet screw sections (102, 106) on opposite sides of the intermediate sections (104). The intermediate sections (104) provide increased friction and shear serving to enhance the SMEs imparted to comestible food materials during processing thereof.
A SEAWEED PROCESSING PLANT
This invention relates to a seaweed processing plant, more specifically a portable seaweed processing plant. The portable seaweed processing plant comprises a shipping container having a substantially rectangular cuboid shaped body with at least one releasably securable door to provide access to and from the interior of the container. The container is configured for transport on an articulated chassis. The shipping container houses a remotely monitored seaweed processing line including a seaweed washing station, a seaweed preprocessing station, a seaweed separation station to separate the seaweed into liquid seaweed and solid seaweed, and a seaweed packing station to pack the liquid seaweed and the solid seaweed for onward transport. In this way, the yield from the harvest is optimized, additional products are harvested, and the quality of the harvest is superior than would otherwise be the case.

CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A LIVESTOCK FEED MIXER
A control system for mixing materials having a container to receive the materials, agitators, a driveline to drive the agitators at an output speed with an output torque, an power source to provide an input speed with an input torque, a continuously variable transmission that connects the driveline and the power source, and an electronic control unit configured to adjust a speed ratio of the continuously variable transmission to provide a linear relationship between the input torque and the output torque with a slope, when the input torque is below a control input threshold, and to follow a corrected linear relationship between the input torque and the output torque with a corrected slope smaller than the slope when the input torque is above the control input threshold.
Method and apparatus for improving efficiency and reliability of stillage processing
The present invention provides an apparatus for dewatering a feed stream of aqueous solids residual from a fermentation and distillation process. The apparatus includes: a first separation device; a mixing tank; an evaporator; a second separation device; and an optional third separation device. Methods for dewatering a feed stream of aqueous solids residual from a fermentation and distillation process are also provided.
Analysis system in order to optimize power consuming of mixing carts according to the objective physical properties of the Unifeed
A system for analyzing feed mixtures, which comprises: a mixing apparatus suitable for containing a plurality of feeds and comprising a mixing means suitable for mixing said plurality of feeds so as to define a feed mixture; a sensing means suitable for acquiring chemical and/or physical parameters of the feed mixture; and a processing unit connected to the sensing means. The sensing means comprises at least an image acquisition device and the processing unit is configured to determine the degree of homogeneity of the feed mixture and/or configured to determine the length of the fibers included in the mixture.
DISTILLER GRAIN PRODUCTION DEVICE
In various embodiments, a device for producing a high density compact livestock feed from a loose granular material according to various embodiment can include a source for supplying a loose granular material to be treated and moving the treated material through a series of successive treatment zones. Rotatable screws are provided within an extruder to compress and transport the treated material a die. The treated material is pressed through the die while a two-dimensional cross-section compression is applied to the treated material. In various embodiments, the high density compact livestock feed is produced having a high protein content, a high fat content, high shipping durability, high quality, and high nutritional value, without the addition of additives.
Suet Mold Kit with Dual Headed Piston Ramrod
The present invention is a suet making kit and method for forming suet plugs from a birdwatchers own customized suet mixture. With the instant invention suet plug manufacturing kit, suet mixtures may be shaped and sized to fit various cavity sizes and cavity shapes on a plurality of already existing different bird feeders. The kit provides the tools for making a feed suet plug of a predetermined shape, having a length dimension and a length-wise axis. The tools include a at least one ramrod having two pistons and a plurality of mold sets each having a cross-section with a substantially similar cross-section as a ramrod piston. A kit is selected so that the cross-sectional configuration of the feed suet plug made with the kit corresponds generally in size and shape to the cross-sectional configuration of the birdwatchers existing bird feeder.
