Yttrium oxyfluoride sprayed coating and method for producing the same, and sprayed member
An yttrium oxyfluoride sprayed coating contains Y.sub.5O.sub.4F.sub.7 as a main component. In the yttrium oxyfluoride sprayed coating, when the total intensity of all peaks attributable to yttrium oxyfluoride in a diffraction spectrum obtained by X-ray diffractometry is assumed to be 100, the total intensity of all peaks attributable to yttrium fluoride and yttrium oxide is less than 10. Furthermore, in an yttrium oxyfluoride-containing sprayed coating, when the total intensity of all peaks attributable to yttrium oxyfluoride and yttrium fluoride in a diffraction spectrum obtained by X-ray diffractometry is assumed to be 100, the total intensity of all peaks attributable to yttrium oxide is less than 1.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING OF MINERALS CONTAINING THE LANTHANIDE SERIES AND PRODUCTION OF RARE EARTH OXIDES
The invention relates to a system and a method for the processing of minerals containing the lanthanide series and the production of rare earth oxides, which allow a completely closed and continuous treatment of the different materials and desorbent agents involved in the process, thus improving the efficiency in the extraction and avoiding environmental risks associated. The method comprising the steps of: reception and conditioning of the raw material; desorption of valuable product through a plurality of mixing and reaction stages in which the raw material is contacted in countercurrent with a stream of desorbent solution; separation of fine solids; precipitation of secondary minerals through the use of a first reactive solution; precipitation of rare earth carbonates through the use of a second reactive solution; and drying and roasting of the rare earth carbonates to obtain rare earth oxides; wherein the method further comprises a secondary process that allows further processing of the residual mineral, and a dewatering and washing step wherein the residual mineral from the desorption step is washed and a lanthanide-containing liquid is recovered.
CERIUM OXIDE ABRASIVE GRAINS
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides cerium oxide'abrasive grains that can improve the polishing rate.
One aspect of the present disclosure relates to cerium oxide abrasive grains for use in an abrasive, in which an amount of water production in a temperature range of 300 C. or less measured using temperature-programmed reaction is 8 mmol/m.sup.2 or more per unit surface area of the cerium oxide abrasive grains.
SPRAY COATING, SRAYING POWDER, SPRAYING POWDER MANUFACTURING METHOD AND SPRAY COATING MANUFACTURING METHOD
A spray coating containing a rare earth fluoride and/or a rare earth acid fluoride contains, carbon at 0.01-2% by mass or titanium or molybdenum at 1-1000 ppm. When an acid fluoride is not contained, the spray coating is gray to black in which, in terms of the L*a*b* chromaticity, L* is 25-64, a* is 3.0 to +5.0, and b* is 4.0 to +8.0. When an acid fluoride is contained, the spray coating is white or gray to black in which, in terms of the L*a*b* chromaticity, L* is equal to or greater than 25 and less than 91, a* is 3.0 to +5.0, and b* is 6.0 to +8.0. By forming this coating on a plasma resistant member, a partial color change is reduced, thus, a member that is capable of reliably realizing the original longevity is obtained.
HIGH TRANSMITTANCE SINGLE CRYSTAL YAP SCINTILLATORS
A single crystal yttrium aluminum perovskite scintillator has a minimum thickness of at least 5 mm and a transmittance of at least 50% at a wavelength of 370 nm. A method for fabricating the yttrium aluminum perovskite scintillator includes acquiring a yttrium aluminum perovskite single crystal boule, annealing the yttrium aluminum perovskite single crystal boule in an oxygen containing environment to obtain a partially annealed crystal, and annealing the partially annealed crystal in an inert environment or a reducing environment to obtain the yttrium aluminum perovskite single crystal scintillator.

The present specification relates to a yolk-shell particle, a catalyst, and a method of manufacturing the same.
Micron-scale cerium oxide particle having multi-core single-shell structure and preparation method therefor
The present invention involves micron-scale cerium oxide particles having a multi-cores single-shell structure, comprising: a cerium oxide shell, the shell being composed of crystalline and/or amorphous nano-scale cerium oxide particles; and a plurality of nano-scale cerium oxide grain cores aggregates located in the interior of the shell. Also involved is a preparation method for the micron-scale cerium oxide particle having a multi-cores single-shell structure. A supported catalyst with the micron-scale cerium oxide particles according to the invention as the support have good hydrothermal stability and good sulfur resistance, and the active components of the supported catalyst are not easily embedded, and the supported catalyst has a great application prospect in the field of catalytic oxidation of exhaust emissions such as CO, NO or volatile organic compounds.
Method for making LaCO3OH nanoparticles from aqueous salt solutions
A hydrothermal method of preparing uniform, monodisperse ceramic lanthanum hydroxyl carbonate (LaCO.sub.3OH) having cherry-blossom-like nanogears and/or nanocubes is described. The method produced a hexagonal crystal with a crystal lattice in which at least on lanthanum ion is substituted with calcium ion. The ceramic nanoparticles produced by the method are good catalyst for the reduction of nitrogen oxides with a hydrocarbon. A method of reducing exhaust gases is described.
