IMAGING COMPOSITION COMPRISING POROUS SILICON MICRO-PARTICLES
The present disclosure describes an imaging composition including porous silicon microparticles, and more particularly, to a biological tissue imaging composition including a composite in which oxidized porous silicon microparticles and silver nanoparticles are combined. Since a biological tissue imaging agent of the present invention, which includes a composite of oxidized porous silicon microparticles and silver nanoparticles, continuously provides an image signal without spreading in the body as compared to conventional imaging agents, it is possible to increase surgical stability by accurately identifying target tissues in vivo in an affected area.
SULFONATED AMINOMETHYLATED CHELATE RESINS
The invention relates to sulfonated aminomethylated chelate resins, to a method for producing same, to the use thereof for obtaining and purifying metals, in particular rare earth metals, from aqueous solutions and organic liquids, and for producing highly pure silicon.
Method for preparing uniform metal oxide nanoparticles with high reproducibility
The present invention relates to a method for preparing uniform metal oxide nanoparticles. According to the preparation method of the present invention, it is possible to maintain the temperature and pressure inside the reactor in a stable and constant manner by removing water generated in the reaction step for forming metal oxide nanoparticles. Thus, the uniformity of nanoparticles formed is increased, and the reproducibility between batches can be increased even in a repeated process and and a large-scale reaction. Therefore, the preparation method of the present invention can be used to synthesize uniform nanoparticles reproducibly in large quantities.

QUANTUM DOT, WAVELENGTH CONVERSION MATERIAL, BACKLIGHT UNIT, IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING QUANTUM DOT
A quantum dot has a fluorescent crystalline nanoparticle, wherein the quantum dot has a core-shell structure including a core particle containing a first metal element and a shell layer containing a second metal element, at an interface between the core particle and the shell layer, a third metal element different from the first metal element and the second metal element is present, and an amount of the third metal element with respect to an amount of the first metal element contained in the core particle is 10% or less in terms of molar ratio. As a result the quantum dot has excellent controllability of the emission wavelength and high luminous properties and luminous efficiency.
PREPARATION OF SOLUBLE COMPOUNDS
Oxidized metal complexes are formed using methods which adjust the pH of solutions to obtain oxidized metal complexes having particular physicochemical properties. A method for preparing an oxidized metal complex includes providing a first solution comprising a highly oxidized metal and having a pH between 0 to 7; providing a second solution comprising one or more ligands or a ligand precursor and having a pH between 7 to 13 or greater; and combining the first solution and the second solution to form a third solution comprising the first oxidized metal complex. A method for preparing an oxidized metal complex includes providing a species solution comprising a first oxidized metal complex and having a pH of at least pH 11; and adjusting the pH of the species solution to form a second oxidized metal complex. Compositions and methods for preparing and using same are provided.
SINTERING POWDER
A sintering powder comprising: a particulate having a mean longest diameter of less than 10 microns, wherein at least some of the particles forming the particulate comprise a metal at least partially coated with a capping agent. A sintering paste and sintering film comprising the sintering powder. A method for making a sintered joint by sintering the sintering powder, paste, or film in the vicinity of two or more workpieces.

Battery with enhanced resistance to dendrite formation
A battery includes a case having a feedthrough port, a feedthrough assembly disposed in the feedthrough port, and a cell stack disposed within the case. The feedthrough port includes an inner conductor and an insulator core separating the inner conductor from the case. The cell stack includes an anode, a cathode, and a separator insulating the anode from the cathode, wherein the anode and cathode are offset from one another. An insulating boot surrounding the cell stack insulates the cell stack from the case. The insulating boot has an opening configured to receive therein the feedthrough assembly, which may include overmolded insulation. The interior surfaces and interior walls of the battery case may be thermal spray-coated with a dielectric material to prevent lithium dendrite formation between cathode and anode surfaces.
