SYSTEM FOR CAPTURING AND RECYCLING WASHING COMPONENTS
A system and method of capturing washing agents and washed item particulates. The washing agents and washed item particulates are contained in a pad placed over an existing surface where they are captured. The washing agents and washed items are sent to a central depository for recycling and separation for clean disposal. The depository allows for re-usable portions of the washing agents to be re-used as part of the system while unusable residuals are separated for proper treatment or disposal.
WATER PURIFIER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
A water purifier includes: a raw water flow path; a purified water flow path connected to the raw water flow path; at least one filter provided in the purified water flow path and to filter raw water flowing along the purified water flow path; a washing water flow path connected to the raw water flow path; a washing water generator configured to electrolyze the raw water to generate washing water; an optical sensor to output a value according to a degree of generation of bubbles included in the washing water; and a controller to control the washing water generator and at least one valve provided in at least one of the raw water flow path, the purified water flow path, and the washing water flow path to perform a washing operation, and identify whether an error has occurred in the washing operation based on an output from the optical sensor.
AUTONOMOUS WATER ANALYSIS DEVICE AND SWIMMING POOL EQUIPPED WITH SUCH A DEVICE
Disclosed is a device for analysing water and a swimming pool equipped with such a device. The device includes: an analysis chamber provided with at least one water inlet and at least one water outlet; a sealed housing adjacent to the analysis chamber and isolated from the analysis chamber by a partition; a data processor housed in the sealed housing; at least one probe electrically connected to a data input of the data processor; an electrical power supply electrically connected to a power input of the data processor, the electrical power supply having an electrical generator provided with a turbine housed in the analysis chamber, the electrical generator being electrically connected to the data input of the data processor. The device is useful for monitoring the sanitary state of the water of a swimming pool.
FILTER DEVICE FOR A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE, A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE WITH A FILTER DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR FILTERING WATER WITH A FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for a water-bearing domestic appliance which has a surface filter with a sleeve shape, a support structure for said surface filter and a flow-through filter housing with filter inlet and filter outlet. The surface filter is held stably on the support structure, which has through-flow openings and a central opening at the end. A first flow path for water leads into the support structure and out again through the through-flow openings and the surface filter. A second flow path leads into the support structure and out again only through the central opening. The support structure is designed circumferential and is formed by support ribs which between them comprise the through-flow openings. The surface filter is attached or pressed onto the outside of the support structure in such a way that it covers the through-flow openings and rests on the outside of the support ribs.
MIKVAH SANITATION DEVICES
A sanitation device for cleaning a body of water in an immersion pool of a mikvah has a housing, a driving member and a bypass passageway. The housing includes an inlet, an outlet and internal liquid passages that communicate between the inlet and outlet. The driving member is arranged to urge flow of liquid through the internal liquid passages by exerting thrust upon liquid flowing through the driving member, wherein at least part of the liquid flowing through the liquid passages bypasses flowing through the driving member by flowing through the bypass passageway towards the device's outlet.
WATER INLET PROTECTION SYSTEM
A water inlet protection system is provided. The system may an adjustable frame defining an interior cavity, the adjustable frame including a plurality of rigid base members, a plurality of slidable corner members, a plurality of nut-and-bolt fasteners, and one or more tabs extending from one or more of the corner members. Each of the slidable corner members includes one or more slots, and each of the nut-and-bolt fasteners includes a bolt that extends through one of the one or more slots and one of the rigid base members. When the respective bolt is loosened, the respective slidable corner member is slidable along the respective slot atop the respective rigid base member, thereby altering a boundary of the interior cavity. When the respective bolt is tightened, the respective slidable corner member is fixed in place atop the respective rigid base member, thereby fixing the boundary of the interior cavity.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FILTERING LIQUIDS
Devices and methods are provided for filtering contaminants or pollutants from water, such as rainwater or stormwater. The devices include a liquid filter comprising a tubular mesh enclosure containing a filling. The filling comprises compost particles and an activated carbon material. The compost particles have a bulk particle distribution of more than 30% less than 0.375 inches and at least 90% less than 2 inches. This unique combination of particle sizes and filling materials increases the removal efficiency of the filter. In addition, this filter media absorbs a broader range of industrial pollutants than conventional filters.
Reactive treatment cell and systems for environmental remediation
Reactive treatment cells (RTCs) are described in combination with sediment capping systems as a means for environmental remediation. RTCs include an impermeable housing defining an interior, a permeable ceiling and floor typically including filtration materials such as geotextiles, and at least one interior compartment for treatment reagents. One RTC includes a gabion-like cage structure retaining a geomembrane-supported geosynthetic clay liner (GM-GCL) housing, while a second embodiment includes a hard, cylindrical shell as a replaceable reagent cartridge. RTCs may be employed in initial capping system installations or retrofitted into existing capping systems. RTCs may include optional baffles, flow restrictors, floating discs, sensor probes, and two or more serial reagent zones or compartments.

TREATMENT OF TAILINGS STREAMS WITH ONE OR MORE DOSAGES OF LIME, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Methods and systems for treating oil sands tailings streams using multiple dosages of lime are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method comprises providing a tailings stream including 3-40% solids by total weight, combining the tailings stream with a first dosage of lime to produce a first mixture having a pH of less than 12.0, and then combining the first mixture with a polymer to produce a second mixture. In some embodiments, the method can further include combining the second mixture with a second dosage of lime to produce a third mixture having a pH greater than 12.0, and dewatering the third mixture in a centrifuge unit and/or a pressure filtration unit to produce a product stream having 55% or more solids by weight.
