COATED GLASS ARTICLES WITH ADHESION PROMOTING REGION
A coated glass article includes a glass article comprising a glass having a surface. The surface has an adhesion promoting region comprising a nanostructure formed at the surface of the glass. The adhesion promoting region is constructed of materials that are the same as one or more constituents of a glass composition of the glass. The coated glass article further includes a coating disposed on the adhesion promoting region formed at the surface of the glass. The coating incudes one or more polymer coating materials. The adhesion promoting region improves adhesion of the coating to the glass while also eliminating the use of titania or other adhesion promoting compounds that can adversely affect the optical properties of the coatings.

A substrate having a burnable coating mask includes: a substrate having a first section and a second section; a mask coating layer over the first section of the substrate; and a functional coating layer over at least a portion of the mask coating layer and over the second section of the substrate. FLEXIBLE AEROGEL, FLEXIBLE GLASS TECHNOLOGY
The invention provides a method of processing glass that involves forming a flexible gel layer on a flexible glass sheet to create a glass-gel sheet; rolling-up the glass-gel sheet into the form of a roll; placing the roll in a dryer; and drying the flexible gel layer so as to form a flexible aerogel layer. Some embodiments provide a glazing unit that includes a glass-aerogel sheet located between first and second panes of the glazing unit, where the glass-aerogel sheet includes a flexible glass sheet and a flexible aerogel layer on the flexible glass sheet. In such embodiments, the first and second panes each have thicknesses that are greater than a thickness of the flexible glass sheet. Other embodiments provide a glass assembly having a flexible aerogel layer on a flexible glass sheet, with the flexible glass sheet being laminated to a glass pane.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH-DENSITY IN-LINE CARBON NANOTUBE THIN FILM
The present disclosure discloses a device and a method for preparing a high-density aligned carbon nanotube film. The device includes a container main body, a buffer partition plate and a solvent lead-out part. The buffer partition plate is located at a lower part of the container main body. The solvent lead-out part communicates with an interior of the container main body through a through hole in a side wall of the container main body and extends to an outside of the container main body. The method includes injecting a carbon nanotube solution into a container; immersing a substrate in the carbon nanotube solution; injecting a sealing liquid that is immiscible with the carbon nanotube solution along the substrate or the side wall of the container main body; and leading the solvent out or pulling the substrate such that the liquid surface of the substrate undergoes relative motion.
VEHICLE REAR INFORMATION ACQUISITION SYSTEM
The vehicle rear information acquisition system of the disclosure includes: a back window at a rear of a vehicle; and an information acquisition device disposed inside the vehicle, opposing the back window, and configured to apply and/or receive light to acquire information from outside the vehicle, the back window including a glass plate and a coating film on at least a part of a surface of the glass plate, and having a privacy region for protecting privacy inside the vehicle and an information acquisition region opposing the information acquisition device and transmitting the light, the privacy region having the coating film on the surface of the glass plate, the privacy region having a visible light transmittance of 10% or less, the information acquisition region having a visible light transmittance of 25% or more.
COATED GLASS ELEMENT
A coated glass container includes: a glass surface; and a coating that coats at least part of the glass surface to form a coated glass surface. The coating includes at least one layer. The coated glass container fulfills the following parameter: leaching of [Na] ions after an alkaline treatment is 10 mg/l or less [Na] ions.
GREENHOUSE AND GLASS SHEET WITH COATING FILM
A greenhouse according to the present invention includes: a ceiling portion; and in at least a portion of the ceiling portion, a glass sheet with a coating film. The glass sheet with a coating film has a total light transmittance of 90% to 98%, a haze ratio of 20% to 80%, and a hemispherical transmittance of 80% to 90%. When a test is performed according to JIS R 1703-1: 2007 by applying oleic acid to a surface of a coating film and subsequently irradiating the surface with ultraviolet light at an intensity of 1.0 mW/cm.sup.2, a time period from start of irradiation with the ultraviolet light to a point at which a water contact angle on the surface reaches 5° is 24 hours or less.
GLASS SUBSTRATE WITH SILICA FILM
A glass substrate with a silica film according to the present invention includes a glass substrate and a silica film formed using a silica film-forming composition, in which the composition includes at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a hydrolyzable compound, a hydrolyzate thereof, and a hydrolysis condensation compound thereof, and at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a silica particle and a zirconia particle, the hydrolyzable compound consisting of a tetraalkoxysilane, a compound (compound I) represented by formula I: (R.sub.3-p(L).sub.pSi-Q-Si(L).sub.pR.sub.3-p), optionally a fluoroalkylsilane having a hydrolysable group, and optionally a zirconium compound having a hydrolyzable group, and the contents of the tetraalkoxysilane, the compound I, and the at least one kind selected from the group consisting of a silica particle and a zirconia particle in terms of SiO.sub.2/ZrO.sub.2 fall within specified ranges, respectively.
