APPARATUS FOR STORING INFORMATION ON A SPECTACLES LENS, SPECTACLES LENS BLANK OR SPECTACLES LENS SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCT
Information is stored in an optical element in the form of a glass or plastic body embodied as spectacles lens, spectacles lens blank or spectacles lens semi-finished product. The information in the form of data is stored on or in the glass or plastic body by creating at least one marking with a marking system. The marking can be read by a reading apparatus. The marking system has an interface for reading information individualizing the optical element. The marking is created permanently by the marking system on or in the optical element at a definition point of a local body-specific coordinate system set by two points on or in the optical element. In this body coordinate system, the manufacturer specifies the position of the lens horizontal and/or the far and/or the near and/or the prism reference point.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING GLASS SUBSTRATE HAVING PENETRATING STRUCTURE, AND GLASS SUBSTRATE
A method of manufacturing a glass substrate having a penetrating structure, the method includes: (1) preparing a glass substrate that has a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other, and includes 3 mol % to 30 mol % of B.sub.2O.sub.3 in terms of oxide; (2) having the glass substrate irradiated with a laser from a first surface side, to form an initial penetrating structure; (3) wet etching the glass substrate having the initial penetrating structure formed; (4) polishing the wet-etched glass substrate from the first surface side, by using an abrasive including acid-soluble abrasive grains; and (5) cleaning the glass substrate with an acid solution.

GLASS SHEET
A technical object of the present invention is to devise a glass sheet that facilitates position alignment with a substrate to be processed and is less liable to be broken during conveyance, or processing treatment of the substrate to be processed, to thereby contribute to an increase in density of a semiconductor package. In order to achieve the technical object, the glass sheet of the present invention includes, in a contour thereof: a contour portion; and a position alignment portion, in which all or part of an end edge region of the position alignment portion where a surface thereof and an end surface thereof intersect is chamfered.

Surface treatment of glass bubbles
A method is provided for treating the outer surfaces of a plurality of glass bubbles. That method includes loading a plurality of glass bubbles into a processing vessel having a roughened lining and displacing the processing vessel so that the plurality of glass bubbles move against the roughened lining to thereby roughen the outer surfaces. Alternatively, or in addition, the glass bubbles are subjected to air plasma treatment to increase the surface energy of the glass bubbles.

CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR CHEMICALLY STRENGTHENED GLASS
An object of the present invention is to provide a chemically strengthened glass that can effectively suppress strength of a glass from being deteriorated even though performing chemical strengthening and has high transmittance (that is, low reflectivity). The present invention relates to a chemically strengthened glass having a compressive stress layer formed on a surface layer thereof by an ion exchange method, in which the glass contains sodium and boron, and has a delta transmittance being +0.1% or more, and in which a straight line obtained by a linear approximation of a hydrogen concentration Y in a region of a depth X from an outermost surface of the glass satisfies a specific relational equation in X=0.1 to 0.4 (μm).
