Method and arrangement for burning lime mud
10676395 · 2020-06-09 · ·

An arrangement for burning lime mud into lime in a lime kiln. The lime mud flows counter-currently to flue gases from a feed end to a firing end and the fuel used is flue gas that is produced by gasifying a fuel in the presence of combustion air in a gasifier. The combustion air for gasification is preheated with heat generated in lime mud combustion. The arrangement is provided with a conduit between the lime kiln and the gasifier for leading air from the lime kiln into the gasifier as combustion air. At least a portion of the combustion air for gasification is preheated with heat generated in the lime mud combustion so that air is led into cooling of lime obtained in the combustion and further into the kiln, from or through the firing end of which air is taken into the gasification.

COMPOSITION FOR INTRACANAL MEDICATION
20200060947 · 2020-02-27 ·

The present invention relates to a composition of an intracanal medication agent for medicating root canals for a predetermined period of time. According to one aspect of the invention, there is provided an intracanal medication composition based on a calcium hydroxide component, comprising: calcium hydroxide or a calcium hydroxide producing component as a powder component; and at least one of diethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DEGEE) as a liquid component.

METHODS FOR REACTIVATING PASSIVATED MINERAL RESIDUES
20240091743 · 2024-03-21 ·

The instant disclosure sets forth a process for re-activating a mineral residue. The process includes providing a mineral residue, which includes a core and a shell around the core. In certain examples, the core comprises calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), or a combination thereof. The Ca and Mg is not present as elemental Ca or Mg but rather as a compound of Ca or of Mg, such as but not limited to Ca(OH).sub.2 or Mg(OH).sub.2. In certain examples, the shell comprises an oxide, a hydroxide, a carbonate, a silicate, a sulfite, a sulfate, a chloride, a nitrate, or nitrite, of calcium (Ca) or of magnesium (Mg), or a combination thereof. The process includes (a) fractionating the mineral residue; (b) contacting the mineral residue with an acid and fractionating the mineral residue; or (c) contacting the mineral residue with a base and fractionating the mineral residue. As a result, the mineral residue's core is exposed. In some examples, the shell is passivating and inhibits the Ca or Mg, or both, in the core from reacting with carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2). By exposing the core as described herein, a mineral residue's reactivity with carbon dioxide is increased.

Method of Manufacturing Recycled Asphaltic and Asphaltic Limestone Powder Pellets and Shapes through Densification
20190300427 · 2019-10-03 ·

This invention relates to manufacturing briquettes, pellets and shapes from recycled asphaltic limestone powder derived from waste residential roofing products. Briquettes and pellets are manufactured through a densification process at varying temperatures, creating recycled asphalt pellets, asphalt limestone pellets and bio mass and coal fines briquettes. Various shapes, including curbs and posts, are manufactured through heat and pressure in molds. Seawalls, walkways and wall panels are manufactured by blending asphaltic limestone powders with polymer resins and extruded or pultruded into shapes.

Method for production of additives enhancing water tightness of building materials
10399896 · 2019-09-03 ·

The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for production of additives enhancing water tightness of structural and binding building materials. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a hydrophobing agent by esterifying 60-80 m % of vegetable oil by a mixture consisting of 20-40 m % ethyl alcohol and 0.1-5 m % of methyl alcohol of the whole mass of the agent, then adding 5-30 m % agent by spraying through nozzles and water to a body of burnt lime in a reactor, and prior to adding the agent and water a mixture of 2-8 m % ethyl alcohol and 0.1-1 m % of methyl alcohol of the whole mass of the body of burnt lime is added by spraying through nozzles, while the mixture is agitating mechanically till a homogeneous mixture is prepared, then adding 40-65 m % water to the mixture, and ceasing mechanical agitating after commencement of the fierce chemical reaction.
