Armour plate
Antiballistic armour plate includes a ceramic body including a hard material, provided, on its inner face, with a back energy-dissipating coating. The ceramic body is monolithic. The constituent material of the ceramic body includes grains of ceramic material having a Vickers hardness that is higher than 15 GPa, and a matrix binding the grains, the matrix including a silicon nitride phase and/or a silicon oxynitride phase, the matrix representing between 5 and 40% by weight of the constituent material of the ceramic body. The maximum equivalent diameter of the grains of ceramic material is smaller than or equal to 800 micrometres. The constituent material of the ceramic body has an open porosity that is higher than 5% and lower than 14%. The metallic silicon content in the material, expressed per mm of thickness of the body, is lower than 0.5% by weight.
MIDDLE FRAME, REAR COVER, AND FABRICATION METHODS THEREOF, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Embodiments of this application provide a middle frame, a rear cover, and fabrication methods thereof, and an electronic device. The electronic device may include a mobile or fixed terminal with a frame or a housing, such as a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, an ultra-mobile personal computer (UMPC), a handheld computer, a walkie-talkie, a netbook, a POS terminal, a personal digital assistant (PDA), an event data recorder, a wearable device, a virtual reality device, a wireless USB flash drive, a Bluetooth speaker/headset, or a vehicle-mounted device. Ceramics and fiber reinforced composite are used to form frames of a rear cover and a middle frame, to reduce thicknesses of a ceramic outer housing and a ceramic outer frame, thereby reducing a weight of the electronic device.
Method for producing a blank, blank and a dental restoration
The invention relates to a blank of a ceramic material, wherein a first ceramic material and then a second ceramic material of different compositions are filled into a die and wherein the materials are pressed and after pressing are sintered. A layer of the first ceramic material is thereby filled into the die and a first cavity formed in the layer, the second ceramic material is then filled into the first open cavity and the materials pressed together and then heat-treated.
SEPARATION MEMBRANE COMPLEX AND SEPARATION METHOD
A separation membrane complex includes a porous support and a separation membrane formed on the support and used to separate fluid. A supply/permeation area ratio obtained by dividing a supply-side surface area by a permeation-side surface area is higher than or equal to 1.1 and lower than or equal to 5.0, the supply-side surface area being the area of a region of the surface of the separation membrane to which fluid is supplied, the permeation-side surface area being the area of a region of the surface of the support from which fluid that has permeated through the separation membrane and the support flows off.
METHOD FOR COMPRESSING LAMINATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CERAMIC ELECTRONIC COMPONENT INCLUDING LAMINATE
Disclosed herein are relates to a method for compressing a laminate and a method for manufacturing a ceramic electronic component including a laminate. The method for compressing a laminate includes: preparing a laminate; pressurizing the laminate from a first pressure to a second pressure; heating the laminate from a first temperature to a second temperature; maintaining compression of the laminate at the second pressure and the second temperature for a predetermined time; cooling the laminate from the second temperature to a third temperature; and depressurizing the laminate from the second pressure to a third pressure, wherein the second temperature is 70° C. to 150° C.
Composite component for horology or jewellery with a ceramic structure and inserts
A method for fabricating a composite component for horology or jewellery including making a base from a first material, with a first visible apparent surface, and a first support surface; a structure from a second ceramic, or sapphire or at least partially amorphous material, with a second apparent surface and a second support surface, including a through bore machined over the entire thickness thereof; at least one insert made of a third material, for each through bore, and arranged to fit together in a complementary manner with this through bore; bonding this base and each structure to each other, with each first support surface and each second complementary support surface bearing against one another; securing each insert with its respective through bore.
Thermal Insulation
The present invention relates to inorganic fibres having a composition comprising: 61.0 to 70.8 wt % SiO.sub.2; 28.0 to 39.0 wt % CaO; 0.10 to 0.85 wt % MgO other components, if any, providing the balance up to 100 wt %,
The sum of SiO.sub.2 and CaO is greater than or equal to 98.8 wt % and the other components comprise less than 0.70 wt % Al.sub.2O.sub.3, if any.
Structure Protection Sheet, Concrete Block, and Method for Manufacturing Reinforced Structure
The present invention provides a structure protection sheet capable of dramatically reducing a construction period to place protective layers on surfaces of structures such as concrete, protecting the structures for a long time, preventing swelling phenomena caused by water vapor inside the concrete, and preventing a decrease in attachability. The present invention relates to a structure protection sheet including: a polymer cement cured layer on a side facing a structure; and a resin layer on the polymer cement cured layer, the structure protection sheet having a water vapor transmission rate of 10 to 50 g/m.sup.2.Math.day.
Semiconductor processing equipment with high temperature resistant nickel alloy joints and methods for making same
A method for the joining of ceramic pieces with a hermetically sealed joint comprising brazing a layer of joining material between the two pieces. The ceramic pieces may be aluminum nitride or other ceramics, and the pieces may be brazed with Nickel and an alloying element, under controlled atmosphere. The completed joint will be fully or substantially Nickel with another element in solution. The joint material is adapted to later withstand both the environments within a process chamber during substrate processing, and the oxygenated atmosphere which may be seen within the interior of a heater or electrostatic chuck. Semiconductor processing equipment comprising ceramic and joined with a nickel alloy and adapted to withstand processing chemistries, such as fluorine chemistries, as well as high temperatures.
