This disclosure provides gypsum cement compositions which comprise an aggregate stabilizing mixture containing a combination of a polysaccharide gum and a polyacrylamide-gelatin blend, and methods for making and using these compositions, including pourable/pumpable floor underlayment slurries and methods for forming high strength underlayment on different substrates.

Carbon Nanotube Hybrid Material for Concrete Applications

A carbon nanotube (CNT) hybrid material that includes a blend comprising a catalyst supported on at least one of a metal, metalloid, metal oxide or carbon support, and at least one material selected from the group of materials consisting of: cementitious materials, materials used in the production of cementitious materials, and materials used to enhance cementitious materials, and CNT on the blend.

PROCESS FOR OBTAINING SYNTHETIC GEOPOLYMERS AND SYNTHETIC GEOPOLYMERS

The present invention relates to a geopolymer produced from a synthetic aluminosilicate. The synthetic aluminosilicate was produced by sol gel technology, heat treated and, later, activated using sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide in solution, having as a final product a synthetic geopolymer. The final product was submitted to CO.sub.2 adsorption analysis using thermogravimetry for adsorbed quantification. In addition to the pure geopolymer, it is also possible to produce the synthetic geopolymer with the addition of surfactant, or in the composite form with the addition of zeolite, or heat treated to form a zeolite or functionalized with amine, for example, to increase the adsorption capacity.

Expandable Joint Compound Composition and Method of Making Same

A joint compound formulation is a mixture of a clay, cellulose ethers, expanded perlite, an adhesive, limestone, water, and a surfactant. The surfactant includes an alkyl trisiloxane. In addition a foam stabilizer, sodium dodecyl diphenyl ether disulfonate, may be added to the formulation.

DELIVERY DEVICE FOR CONCRETE ADMIXTURES AND PROCESS FOR RETARDING THE SETTING OF SURFACE PORTION OF CONCRETE
20230107914 · 2023-04-06 ·

A delivery device for concrete admixtures, in the form of a film of watersoluble material, having a concrete admixture incorporated within the film. The film can be attached to a formwork for concrete and has a protective layer, which is removable to allow the water in the concrete to dissolve the film and release the admixture into the concrete. The film contains the required quantity of admixture and is weather-resistant and substantially time-insensitive. The delivery device is used in a process to retard the setting portion of a surface of concrete.
