Modified acid compositions as alternatives to conventional acids in the oil and gas industry

An aqueous modified acid composition for industrial activities, said composition comprising: an alkanolamine and strong acid in a molar ratio of not less than 1:15, preferably not less than 1:10; it can also further comprise a metal iodide or iodate. Said composition demonstrates advantages over known conventional acids and modified acids.

Bis(oxymethyl)phosphinic acid and biogenic metal salts thereof as regulators of plant growth and development

The invention relates to agriculture, and specifically to regulators of plant growth and development that can be used for the pre-sowing treatment of cereal crop seeds and are in the form of bis(oxymethyl)phosphinic acid and biogenic metal salts thereof with the general formula (I) Me.sup.n+[OP(O)(CH.sub.2OH).sub.2].sub.n, where n may be 1 or 2 and Me may be any of the following: H, Na, Ca, Mg, Co, Cu, Zn, Mn. The claimed compounds of formula I are effective regulators of plant growth and development when acting in concentrations of 1.Math.10.sup.7-1.Math.10.sup.12%. Pre-sowing treatment of the seeds of cereal crops, namely wheat, corn and rice, by means of the claimed compounds increases germination energy and germination capacity up to 13%, also increases plant vigor, and rootlet and shoot lengths increase up to 36%. Crop harvests increase and the quality of the resulting grain improves, which expands the range of effective, environmentally friendly plant growth and development regulators that act at the level of natural phytohormones.

A PROCESS FOR FORMING A PRODUCT SOLUTION FROM POULTRY WASTE DIGESTATE
20200231512 · 2020-07-23 · ·

Disclosed are methods and systems for the conversion of poultry waste into useful products. Some embodiments are directed to a process for forming a product solution from poultry waste. The process includes providing a feedstock that contains greater than 60 percent poultry waste, and anaerobically digesting the feedstock to produce a digestate that has a solids content of about 5% to about 15% by weight. The process also includes separating and classifying the digestate into multiple high solids fractions and a first filtrate. The process also includes adding the high solids fractions to an acid solution to form a slurry that is then separated and classified into multiple second solids fractions and a second filtrate. The process also includes clarifying the first and second filtrates to produce a first and a second centrate. The process also includes mixing the first centrate with the second centrate to form the product solution.
