Reducing the environmental impact of farming using biochar
A method for using treated biochar to reduce the overall environmental impact of farming and minimize the carbon footprint of farms is provided. The method comprising engaging in one or more of the following practices: (1) combining treated biochar with feed or using biochar as feed for animals to reduce methane from enteric fermentation and increase animal health and nutrition; (2) combining treated biochar with compost, animal bedding or manure piles to reduce odor and increase nutrient retention; (3) applying treated biochar to lagoons to reduce odor and treat water; (4) applying treated biochar to pastures to increase pasture health; (5) applying treated biochar to crops to increase crop productivity, healthier roots and prevent fertilizer leaching; and (6) using the carbon negativity of a produced biochar to reduce the overall farm or ranch carbon footprint.

Biochar compositions and methods of use thereof
The invention provides for methods, devices, and systems for pyrolyzing biomass. A pyrolysis unit can be used for the pyrolysis of biomass to form gas, liquid, and solid products. The biomass materials can be selected such that an enhanced biochar is formed after pyrolysis. The biomass can be pyrolyzed under specified conditions such that a selected biochar core is formed. The pyrolysis process can form a stable biochar core that is inert and/or resistant to degradation. The biochar or biochar core can be functionalized to form a functionalized biochar or functionalized biochar core. Functionalized can include post-pyrolysis treatments such as supplementation with microbes or physical transformations including annealing and/or activation.

Methods for improving control of insects and related compositions
Controlling insect damage in a plant. In one embodiment, the methods include applying insecticide and at least one fertilizer in-furrow at planting. In particular examples, methods of controlling cutworms in corn include applying tefluthrin and at least one pop-up fertilizer in-furrow at planting.

BIOCHARS FOR USE IN COMPOSTING
A method and system is provided for using biochar in composting environments to control temperature, moisture, acid and pH levels, odors and bacterial cultures. The method further includes treating the biochar prior to combining it with the compost to further control such parameters.
Plant Fertilizer And Soil Enhancement Composition Delivery Vehicle And Method
A soil enhancement fertilizer composition that is delivered in a water-soluble pouch. The pouch contains specially composted and pulverized camelid manure, Mycorrhizal fungi , and yucca powder. The pouch is dissolved in water and stirred to release its contents and then the solution is poured on the soil and/or applied to the leaves of both indoor or outdoor container plants.
